Hi guys,

Need help from folks that are using Canon - and better if there's who uses 600D.

I didn't use my camera for one to two months and still remember the battery inserted was fully-chared since the last time I used the camera. Now when I switch on the camera again, the camera is not functioning.

May I know if there's anyone here know what could be the cause and is there any "home remedies" to fix the problem instead of sending it to the service centre which is going to be really costly?

Thanks much.

TS, try remove any memory card and turn on ur camera. This is a fairly common complaint with the 600D. The problem seems to be that there's an issue with the plastic cover of the battery compartment. If it's not closed completely the battery won't engage. One thing you can try is putting a piece of paper under the battery, which will force it to make contact with the underside of the plastic cover.

With or without the battery?
Can you share your own steps of "home remedies" instead of replying one by one?
