anyone can tell me why? i strum according to the notes i posted up, but when i try to sing along, i dont quite get the rhytm, why is it so? did i strum wrongly? i strum according to the lyrics since i does not show the speed or wat...can anyone teach me? thx you

first, make sure your guitar is in tune. What i used to do with strumming chords to a song is do a single strum when there is a chord change..then, slowly start improvising rhythmically..im not sure about the song but from how i see you posted, the distance between chords are pretty close so its probably pretty fast..

Ps. from my experiece, your chords might be wrongly placed..listen to the song and try and sense where there is a change of chords and change there

The best bet is to listen to song and try to pick out where the chords fall into. When I get the time I'ill try to play it with your chords and see how it sounds.

Anyway, first listen to the mp3 first and only figure out the strumming way....

the fastest way is to listen then figure the pattern...or u could just improvise and create a whole new strumming pattern which also can create feel for the song...

that's what i did most of the time...simply find a pattern that sounded nice...

Timing has to be exact as well and as mentioned above, the chord change may not be placed at the right areas. It would be best if you could tune up your guitar, then play in the same key as the song and then listen to where the chord changes.

so the problem might be the guitar tuning rite? guys, do i strum using my nail? as in PIMA the P rite?

Why dont you use a pick instead?

PIMA - P is the thumb.
and strumming with the thumb is awkward.

It's easier to strum using a pick.

Personally, i think it sounds better when you strum with a soft pick compared to your nail.

wah.....David Tao's "lum" song.....this song i play everyday....one of the easiest to play.....can figure out the chords by listening to da song only....but i play in D....higher pitch....same as the Malaysia superstar John sing wan......

Angel oso quite nice to play....not too hard to play...

hey....i find the the chords up there is quite ackward......juz doesn't sound rite....maybe the chords provide is wrong....any1 tried the chords yet??
