You are right. Amex is shown at the 2nd page.

Have you tried paying with amex and whether it is successful?

There is a section at the maybank cc application form requiring Applicant Additional Information. It asks for Banking Reference (bank name/account number/type)

Do you guys fill this up?

I'm not sure if this has been posted by anyone else, but www.agoda.com/maybank 7% discount for Maybank card holders promotion is no longer valid. I now go through www.agoda.com/malaysiaairlines to earn Enrich Miles instead when booking hotels.

are you using the correct website?

So guys, I received a ridiculous letter from Maybank about 2 weeks ago telling me that I am not entitled to earn TreatPoints just because I went on a shopping spree using my AMEX card.
I am seriously disappointed with Maybank. Anyone else received such stupid letter from Maybank?

What should I do??

Btw, I am not making any illegal purchase or making any unlawful transaction or reselling the items I purchased.

Interesting. How many times you swiped your card?

If you have evidence that the items you purchased are for personal consumption, then furnish to them.

I don't recall. Maybe like 4 - 6 times a week on average? But does it matter how many times I swipe???
Take this as an example...
If I have 4 cars at home and decided to go petrol station and pay using my AMEX, can Maybank tell me I cannot use my card?
*
Perhaps Maybank has its own detection pattern so if you can prove that they are wrong then just furnish the evidence.

yeah, not about how many times per week. but it's about the value you swiped for each transaction. because i swiped more than 4-6 times per week also no problem.
*
the letter stated large and multiple usage at xxx. I assume it is at one particular store.

Hi. I received a called from 03-20246688 and the guy had all my personal information but he request my mother maiden name as the password for the credit card.
May I know anyone received similar calls before? Is this a scam? Thanks in advance.
*
Never reveal such info when you are not the one who initiate the phone call or when you are not familiar with the caller number.

1000% scam

After the conversation ended, he message me to sent(whatsapp) him the payable slip asap. After that i feel curios because the message shown ___@unitedteleservice.com Not from Maybank email address..
Since he had my maiden mother name so what should I do now? Thanks.
*
contact maybank customer service and inform them that your personal information / maiden mother name is compromised. See what is his/her advice. Personally, I would get the card suspended and get it replaced.

just get it suspended first. later on if there is any illegal transaction, file a dispute.

Possible, if he has the other cards' detail too.

May I know what product/service is he selling and by password you mean your CVC digits?

Yeah, you mentioned 'unless your card completed'? meaning the card has not arrived?

Hi. Yes..the card Not arrive yet.. and I contact the Maybank customer service again and told the telemarketing is NOT listed as their credit card ....

ops.. so confirm is scam? so far that person had my personal info including mother name.
*
This is worst than a scam. Next time, describe your situation clearly. You forget to mention that you have not received your card.

This is what i suspect. Your card which is under delivery, got stolen. Like I have mentioned, report this again and this time, get it suspended.

So you never apply any card before sweat.gif Then I don't know why on earth he wants your mother maiden name.

Maybe call back and ask them directly but don't reveal anything more

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 20 2015, 11:38 PM)
you better check your credit report from bnm after few weeks later just to make sure whether you have any loan(s) or credit card(s) attached to your name but not applied by you. then make a police report and call the bank(s) involved to terminate those loan(s) or credit card(s) using the police report as a proof.
