BAD experience with My 2 cards application!!

Just received my new 2 cards at the treat fair. The sales told me to wait for sms confirmation and it should be done in 90 mins. However I have waited for 90 mins at the counter and no SMS confirmation, so I approached the card collection lady, she ask me to wait for another 5-10 mins for the first time and then another 5-10 mins for the second time than eventually stand there and waited for 20 mins (I noticed a lot of the card applicants much later than my application time already been notified and collected the cards). Finally I collected my cards and its already TWO hours. I am sure If I never went to the card collection counter, enquired and push for it, I believe I will have to wait for more than 2 hours!!


As the sales lady told me I can use it immediately for the payment via M2U. I quickly rushed back home and access my M2U and found out the bill payment via using my 2 cards is not available. So I called the help line and the CS told me due to my data is INCOMPLATE (if incomplete why you let me collected the card!?!?)...bla bla bla so I have to wait for another 24 hours in order to get it ready in M2U. Feel CHEATED!

Finally I asked the CS how am I going to know my credit card status? She told me TO TRY to use it by tomorrow! I asked can I have somebody to call me to confirm on the status. She just tried to ignore it... What kind of Bank is it!!! The so called Malaysia NO.1 (BIGGEST) bank service level!!

I am thinking what the hell is going on....I am like a fool!!!

Really disappointed with U...Maybank!!

Well, you applied it on a weekend, I presumed. And since you are rushing them to produce it within 90 minutes, you should expect them to have some hiccups here and there, no?

Heck, I donated a huge amount for MBB and they still take 1 day to get my card to me even though most people got it on the spot.

So take a chill pill, and enjoy the card.

If you activated the card via M2U, can immediately use already.

Think of it this way - typical card application takes 1-2 weeks to deliver the card to you. Now you can get it all worked out within 2 days, still good right?

The reason why I applied for maybank to begin with was to save the hassle of waiting 1-2 weeks.

Understood. Which is why I would go to 1U Card Center for 1 hour approval rather than TreatFair, where the volume is high.

That's not the point of the complaint. The point is that what the Maybank staff told Yamy was wrong. If you order something at a restaurant and they say 15 minutes, of course you won't be happy if you end up having to wait 60 minutes for it.

Cimb told me it will take 1 hour and yet it took 2 hours and 35 minutes for my application.

Same goes with maybank last time. Promised on the spot by the branch manager but still delayed by 1 day.

Occasionally, people need to be reasonable.

It's a high amount of crowd and slip up does happen.

End of the day, he or she did get the card albeit a 1 hour delay.

Hi there, I just got my card via treats fair last week. I am confuse with credit card payment and credit card installment.

Lets say that I wanna buy a phone (RM1200) from telco with credit card payment, how will I pay back to bank? Is it pay in lumsump when my bill comes or by monthly sikit sikit?

If I use credit card installment then definately is monthly payment.

Cuz some telco is offering credit card auto debit and installment, so to a newbie, I am kinda confusing. haha

if you did not opt for any installment, then you need to pay lumsump when the statement date come..

there are two type of installment here. one is from bank and another from merchant..
if you opt for any installment, then you pay monthly payment

bear in mind, some installment will have extra charges or fees..

further on that, some telco auto sign up you to their auto debit, beware

Maybank has been weird on credit limit, much lower compare to other card, sometimes even reject, no idea how their logic work

Your limit would be freezed if you apply for the installment from their merchant terminal.

If you call in to maybank and request, there would be a fee but the amount is not blocked for my case.
