well.. i dont have much contacts on this kinda security.
my fren who drives an integra intro tis to me. he's getting a caldina soon, and also wanna install this IES. so.. he gave me a nice quotation for it lo. well sounds reasonable from the features they provide.. unless u have some particular model to intro me? how much does it cost? QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 31 2007, 10:59 AM) moon*, This post has been edited by moon*: Jan 31 2007, 11:05 AMi haven't heard of the security system.. since you have such a good budget, why don't you check out clifford as well? |

ohhh...?
ehm.. wat security are u using? i'll see how lo, cos i actually ask my fren book liau, he took 2 set, 1 for his caldina n another for my ek. the owner is his fren. so i m guessing i can get a good deal n good workman ship kua? oh yea, wat about cheetah immobiliser? QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 31 2007, 11:07 AM) i'm not that familiar with the security systems as well only through magazines, etc. This post has been edited by moon*: Jan 31 2007, 11:12 AMbut clifford seems to be one of the popular brands.. but i think the installation is more important as the more hidden or "unique" per installation it'll work better.. (eg. wirings are all black - stealth, hidden immobilizers, etc) |

well. i do hope they do tat..
my fren sed, they will take about 3 hrs + jst to install 1 alarm system to the car wo.. QUOTE(Gouki @ Jan 31 2007, 11:21 AM) The best ever workmanship on installing alarm system is that the wiring and alarm module is totally hidden. Wiring will be conseal together with your OEM wiring and all wiring in same black color, so it look stock and confusing to the car thief. Alarm module will be hidden covering by sound proof material to make it as complicated as possible to the thief. hehe.. wanna ask hor.. with the immobiliser.. how does it actually work.i know u have a key card detection unit. when u not around the car engine will shutdown. can they hot wire the engine and get it started?? hehe.. i wanna do wat ever possiblities to stop ppl from stealing my car again.. jst jackin it up abit to steal my rims also i wan the alarm to ring like mad. QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 31 2007, 11:23 AM) oh.. since order edi then nvm la This post has been edited by moon*: Jan 31 2007, 11:38 AMi'm using the stock alarm lor.. there's nothing in my car that is worth stealing anyways.. but my car has got broken into through the trunk to steal my laptop.. till now oso haven't replace the lock, but dismantled the cable to the lock.. my friend in penang has the cheetah immobilizer on top of the honda's security system.. meaning you need honda's immobilizer key and the card else can't drive the car.. so far no problem la.. but again, city ain't really a hot car for theft |

oh.. thanks for the info..
demmit he dare come with a truck, i'll take bazooka n blow him to kinda cum.. i tink the IES has a 2 stage shock sensor. i m gonna get tat installed too.. put to most sensitive wan.. i tink when they jack my car up even slowly. the shock should be able to triggle the car alarm.. well at least i hope. ahh demmit.. the bank today still havnt call me up yet.. ahhhh... no ek for TT session.. OH BTW>... yesterday i saw a turn over NEO on the sprint highway.. i tink the owner is ok.. saw him opening his boot.taking out all his stuff, shirt n etc.. i wonder how it happened.. QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 31 2007, 11:38 AM) immobilizer consist of transceiver and receiver.. This post has been edited by moon*: Jan 31 2007, 11:44 AMthe receiver is installed in your car and the transceiver is either a key or card which is embedded with an electronic chip with the random security key unique to your alarm. without the transceiver key, even if u manage to start your car.. it'll cut off (depending what settings, can be the fuel pump, ignition, etc etc) after a few moments.. but if they really want your car, they'll get it anyways.. after all, if you can get it installed.. they can get it uninstalled/bypassed as well that's why installation is important to make the thief give it up or sufficient time for you to reach your car.. then you should be aware, next time come with tow truck |

well.. hopefully touch wood no thieves ever target my car again lo..
i wanna set the sensitivity jst right where by when the thief wanna unlock ur LUG to ur rims. u will have to use a certain force to unlock the lug right? mebbe set to tat sensitivity lo? n as well as.. use 2 different kinda rug on 1 wheel hehe.. QUOTE(Gouki @ Jan 31 2007, 01:39 PM) Eh, i thought if you add the tilt sensor, its design n meant to detect someone jacking or towing your car? So shock sensor is for someone bang your car or break your glass. Unless the car thief use some glass cutter without triggering the shock sensor, then there's where the motion/ultrasonic sensor come into action to detect moving object in the car. Any state of the art alarm system still can be deactivate by the car thief since it's installed by human as well. But it's time delaying the car thief to get your car is all another matter. Stock OEM alarm like Cobra is good. Cobra's alarm is made high tech and good built quality. Cobra's alarm module circuit board is one of the best. But what make this OEM factory fitted alarm easy to be deactivated coz the car thief had done many research on the OEM wiring route and location of the alarm module in the car. Hence, they are ready/self prepared and can deactivate the alarm in just minutes. What make your alarm standout is the installation. I had seen some cars the alarm module is being hidden under the back seat of the car. Which car thief will thought of that? Even he manage to figure it out, it would oredi be like 30 mins or an hour after that. Car thief will give up on cars that take them too long to be stolen. Normally, anything longer than 10 or 15mins, the thief will give up and leave the car alone without taking the risk further. |

lol.. all tis pros n cons..
isshh... wah if i rich ah.. i hire 4 pro stealth sniper.. surround my car park..lol shoot to kill mode eheh..AHHH.. the bank havnt call me up yet.. wats taking them so freaking long. QUOTE(Gouki @ Jan 31 2007, 01:55 PM) For rims, you can always use special lock nuts. Cheap ones from k-speed or some other taiwan brand. Good one from Enkei or Rays' Engineering lor. Seriously, you'll regret if you set the shock sensor to be too sensitive. Coz if another Civic with B16A/B + loud spoon muffler pass by your car. Your alarm will trigger and send unnecessary sms to you. |

stock 1.3 interior.. LOL jst afraid of the rims.. its a racing hart 15inch dunno wat model.. QUOTE(Gouki @ Jan 31 2007, 02:02 PM) Dont freak out that much lar. EK isnt that popular in the car thief list. Be more worry about your accessories if you have stuff like nice headunit, amp, speakers, defi meters, apexi rsm, or apexi afc neo.
