previously i mentioned about the metal screeching sound from my rotors right.. it happened twice la, but then it didn't occur anymore so i hope it's okay..

after my exams this wednesday, i'm sending my car in to let the SC settle the dashboard shudders.. most definitely going to leave the car since the dashboard has to be dismantled..

edit:
i was looking at this thread and i can't deduce whether honda is having problems with their brakes. i mean, there are problems with jazz's brakes and city's brakes.. now i heard about the accord, potentially the new civic as well unsure.gif
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=380983

oh.. my sister's myvi seems to have rotor problems too.. not only mine, seems quite a number of myviclub members have the issue as well, inclusive of bearbear tongue.gif

boy.. am i pissed with the service centre..
they called up and said that due to my modifications, some wiring has caused the dashboard to shudder, and they quoted RM250 to get it fixed.. then they took the opportunity to talk about my VS & GK wirings in the engine bay as well.. shakehead.gif

I rejected the repair work.

AFAIK, The only modifications i've done "within" the dashboard would only be the ICE and perhaps the EL Meter but I doubt the EL Meter affected the dashboard.

Going back to the shop I installed my ICE to see what they can do. If cannot do anything, will remove everything including those VS and GK and reinstall the stock stuff.. vmad.gif

Heck, I don't even know how or in what way did the dashboard shudder occur. If it's the ICE's wiring, why didn't it shudder when it was installed more than a year ago? rclxub.gif

sonictheory,
did anything to your dashboard before? like ICE?

the same problem i am having.. if it has shudder sounds, i rev a lil bit oni the shudder is a bit louder and faster then off dry.gif

ruin the driving experience..

Gouki,
West Star suggest to me to service my aircond so that it'll be "easier" for them to settle the problem as they have to dismantle the dashboard..

damn, you slowly become foreigner already

to caucasians, we asian look more or less the same one laugh.gif

it really is kinda odd that everybody around speaks in cantonese and mandarin.. i had some problems with ordering food (cuz some of the menu are in chinese words only) and sometimes even talking to the people there.. i end up speaking in english with my sister as well as to the people over there.. which is a bit alienated tongue.gif

it's rather cute for them to speak in english though.. laugh.gif

but i'd prefer japan anytime.. thumbup.gif but the experience of travelling alone was a good one icon_rolleyes.gif

cute? unless u r toking bout the local chicks speaking "englishie"? tongue.gif
*
yeah, but don't be surprised when some of them can actually speak perfect english ohmy.gif

anyway, i'm really losing confidence in honda.. remember the dashboard shudder thing i was talking about? that Westar said that it would be "convenient" to service the aircond at the same time (costs RM2xx) when removing the dashboard and Peringgit Auto OKR claiming "modifications to the car" thus RM250 to proceed with repairs? Both also said it was due to wiring.

I went back to the place where I got my audio installed, got the dashboard partly removed to check what is making that annoying sound. End up nothing was wrong with the dashboard area but a loose amp fuse in the engine bay that's been knocking to the aircond piping that made the sound audible in the cabin area under the dashboard.. for the fellas work, i paid RM30.00

that's like a discount of more than RM200 from Honda.. dry.gif

Normally, i only bother to go to honda sc when there's mechanical failure for warranty. Like searching for all this noise/sound or minor thingy, your best bet is your trusted accessories shop. They can do better. tongue.gif

Yeah, dont be surprised when you meet some japanese chicks that can speak fluent english too. laugh.gif

eh bro.. speaking of accessories shop, what happened to raymond tai kor lar? new shop up and running yet? unsure.gif
