6000k is yellowish purple? o.O
IIRC its yellowish white, no?

8000k only will show abit of purplish
*
nope. OEM 6000k is yellowish white + purple.
Aftermarket HID at 8000k like mine is bluish white. 10000k and above only purplish white. 6000k is white + a bit yellowish.

QUOTE(jenatic @ Feb 1 2007, 05:37 PM)
hey, what are the usual HIDs hitted into stock cars ya? Like those u find in 5 series or bmw or even the new civic which comes with hids

i wanna buy a set for my car but i dont want those extremely blinding ones. dont want to cause accident or frustrate fellow drivers on the road ma
*
If you wanna use those OEM HID, they dont fit any normal headlight as they are on D2R/S bulb size. Normal headlight bulb size are the H4, H7, H1 and etc. So retrofit your headlight is the only way. Get those aftermarket conversion kit. Only they provide the normal bulb size. Not glaring and yet focus on the road? Get PIAA then which will cost you a bomb. smile.gif

haha.. swt wei ><
*
haha, what color? Anyway, that highway from genting sempah all the way back to the gombak RM5 toll can whack 180km/h+ through those highspeed corners ler. But becareful lar. Kinda dark. sweat.gif But itsnt he's kinda no ballz to only tapau u in the straight? He dont dare to push his jazz thru the corners iszit? tongue.gif

Whilst coming downhill where there's no more road humps.. (it was damn misty, but then lower down it cleared liao) I was at the front geh.. then came this jazz with halogens darn bright tailing but i continued whacking corners until i bey tahan liao.. let him pass then at this corner where it was really steep there was an accident.. an accord slammed into the wall sweat.gif where 2 cars in front of the jazz slowed down, i just overtake on the accident lane lor (ample of space actually).. then i just whack corner to corner in straight line and didn't see his headlamps liao..  later he catched up and turned on HID rclxub.gif by then it was around the last pondok already, then i think he wallop all the way towards the highway (cuz i didn't really see which road he took.. sweat.gifhmm.gif

it's a black jazz unsure i-dsi or vtec, with black aftermarket tail-lamps.. the one where somewhere in the middle there's a clear oval shape chrome piece.. something like this user posted image

that jazz should be on 16" and lowered..

I was slamming through those "high-speed" corners around 140km/h i think.. i'm not that confident as the car is way too floaty due to the car height and suspension plus the road so dark.. i'm not like takumi can drive without headlamps turned on at nite leh  doh.gif
*
hhmmm, no idea then. oh that continuous small corners that u can take racing line in straight. Yea, that one when you go fast damn syok. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Kclee2002 @ Feb 12 2007, 12:30 PM)
actually what does it mean by magnetic hi/lo?
*
You see, HID bulb only have problems with H4 bulb size. Coz original halogen H4 bulb come with separate hi/low filaments in 1 bulb. HID bulb cant have 2 in 1 chamber. So its either only low beam H4 without hi-beam, HID low-beam & separate halogen for hi-beam, magnetic mechanism to reflect the HID beam either to hi/low beam and dual seperate HID chamber individually for hi/low beam like the Aura.

Problem with halogen for hi-beam is its not bright enough coz u hardly feel anything, dual chamber HID like Aura is good in theory but reality, HID need time to ignite and heat/bright up so standalone HID bulb for hi-beam is not suitable for flashing. Magnetic mechanism is ideal since the movement of the bulb to change the direction of light spectrum is instant but poor magnetic mechanism design or material may result to mechanism jam/failure. tongue.gif
