U Mobile UMI30 is a prepaid plan. Voice calls bundled is 30 min per month.
If I want to make voice calls beyond 30 min, or send SMS, do I need to top up? If so, how much?

QUOTE(dgboy @ Apr 5 2016, 03:16 PM) You need to top up to make calls if you don't have any credibility. Let's say I activated the account on April 1.Under Power prepaid plan, after using up any UMI bundled minutes, calls are 10 sen/min with 30-second block. Except calls to other U numbers will be free, with a maximum quota of 15 mins per day. I am supposed to top up RM30 on May 1, as the validity is 30 days. Let's say on Apr 20 I want to make calls beyond the bundled minutes or send SMS, how much I need to top up This post has been edited by river.sand: Apr 5 2016, 05:16 PM |

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Apr 15 2016, 03:37 PM) Just wanna ask, how is the roaming on Maxis? I am tempted to port to P70 due to the free roaming but concerned about the ride on Maxis. I am in Sarawak so no UMobile line. Will totally rely on Maxis Never been to Sarawak, but I wouldn't recommend it. Maxis will give priority to its own subscribers. |

QUOTE(citizen_zero @ Apr 15 2016, 03:26 PM) Received an SMS on free IDD & roaming activation. Have to send YES to 28118. Your account is prepaid?Has anyone replied to the SMS? Just want to make sure it is legit. I've yet to activate roaming and would like to do it. Postpaid users need to pay deposit to activate IDD and roaming. |

QUOTE(betaray @ Apr 16 2016, 02:07 AM) The best way is to find out yourself... buy prepaid sim and topup rm10 to get 1gb free to test... if you need more data/time, buy rm30 topup and get umi30... will get you additional 2.5gb and 30min talk time for 30 days... If you want to test, do it over the coming Raya.My own experience with U Mobile in Perak was: I got 3G on normal days, but GPRS during Raya and CNY. |

QUOTE(Haru2007 @ May 12 2016, 03:59 PM) Does that mean if i did not activate the international roaming services, hence i'm not able to connect to sg network to receive calls and smses like i normally did with my digi? this is because sometimes will need to do ibg transfer hence will need to receive the tac. SIPhony is for voice call only. For SMS you still need roaming. And exactly what is SIphony? Googled and seems like it's an external services to divert calls? Understood on the data backpack deal only for the internet, hence i might as well retain my sg number..or any alternative way? Thanks. A few SMS is fine. But these days I receive lots of spam SMS |
