So they coverage in general is really bad?

There is no perfect telco, only suitable 1
Widest coverage like Celcom also die in lots places, just test it well, invite your umobile user Fren to your house and play his phone, hehe

Tried selecting the network manually via the modem settings, doesn't seem to work either.

till now no message from maxis for yes/no wor sad.gif

how?
*
QUOTE(chaukeng @ Mar 14 2016, 09:52 PM)
You will get extra 8GB each month for the next few months until end of June. By then they will release new packages, hopefully cheaper one. And the extra 8GB can be used all day long 7 days a week.
The message delay is not umobile fault. Its the respective telco's delaying trying to provide porting out customer with counter offer.

Btw, there is a workaround for maxis to immediately receive the YES message.
*
ya agree, this is d/m trying to delay

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Mar 14 2016, 11:54 PM)
Maxis "delay" your request to port out?  hmm.gif
*
maxis new tricks, not sending confirmation message for first time request,so u need to wait another day, calling dealer/ center to resubmit, to receive the confirmation message and reply so the MNP process only started

digi then reject first time MNP request without any reason, must submit 2nd time

celcom easiest, no counter offer call, no confirmation message, simply wait 1 day

Hi guys! I was using umobile prepaid but failed to MNP to other service before I went overseas to study so now I have to constantly topup my account to maintain my number. My account is now in "passive" mode, how long is this passive mode? 60 days right regardless of how much is my previous top up?
*
QUOTE(dgboy @ Mar 15 2016, 07:23 PM)
@BenSow

yeah 60 days grace period in all cases

switch to the older plan if you are not already on it, then your top up validity will be 2x
*
change to XOX (28 months validity ) / Celcom (RM 50 2 years validity ) to keep number is easier although I am an umobile dealer

HAHA
its happen to me too..
PREPAID, applied 3 times MNP.
said given sms but never reach me.
I told u stop pretending.
or dont use FLASH sms.
flash SMS wont last. once u missed it, u cant save it to reply later
*
Which telco ? Worst telco I met is redone and tunetalk on porting. Nowadays digi and maxis are very stable that reject / not sending confirmation SMS for first time request

QUOTE(Kobis Bunga @ Mar 15 2016, 09:07 PM)
So, another solution is I terminate my broadband then purchase the P70 plan...
*
Hehe may terminate and also subscribe p70 from me with discount

QUOTE(chaukeng @ Mar 15 2016, 09:11 PM)
Yes correct. But better to terminate at the end of the month since broadband charges is not based on pro rate. That means if you terminate today also they will charge you bill for the whole of March.
*
Yup not pro rate, but still given full data when you subscribe end of month, so subscribe or terminate also best on end of month

Question regards to U-Mobile Power prepaid validity.

Say if my validity as of today is 10 days. I top up 30 bucks today. would i get 10+30=40 days validity or just 30 days validity?

thanks in advance.
*
30 days from the day u top up

top up 30 from today = 30 days validity

unless ur original valid period more than 30 days, then remains

thanks.

poked around shopback website the whole night. found out you can only withdraw when your accumulated cashback reaches rm10. since you get rm2 cashback from a rm20 reload, you need to make a total of 5 reloads before your virtual cash turn into real cash. in total, spend rm100 and get rm10 cashback plus rm5+rm5 signup/referal bonus. so, the max cashback rate is 20%.
*
u got the cashback RM 15/ RM 20 from shopback website like to lazada mobile app

actually not that great to share all secret here as would be fixed asap like my previous 50% discount on paying umobile bill bangwall.gif
now 15% ~20% also very hard

Guys,

Im using celcom prepaid mainly for call and basic internet (free 500mb).

The free kuota is not enuf for me. So looking to port to umobile prepaid where i see the advertisement free 1gb + 2gb basic Internet.

But 2 of my friends said (they use umobile previously) umobile quota so fast finish.

Need advise from others umobile user regarding my internet usage just for fb and whatsapp also the quota.
*
if compare to digi , umobile use faster, mostly depends on video clip, because when it load fast, meaning even u are not watching full video clip, but the network already streamed it, so it might consume more data than u expect.

QUOTE(culain99 @ Mar 19 2016, 03:46 PM)

For you all information , getting new number is paying 1 month advance payment during registration, mnp then is totally free @ center
But
For dealers like us practise, that's normal that we collect also 1 month advance payment for mnp due to there is risk that customer taking counter offer or mnp being rejected while customer provide wrong information, but we still refund full payment on returning of the Sims card, anyway there are few dealers charging RM 10 on the Sims card provided for mnp processes
