Is there any M2 car manual, like in pdf format or any? Gonna get mine pretty soon (Alu HB), and would like to read the manual if any smile.gif

So far from test drive yesterday, pretty much happy with the car.. tho i believe it would be more appropriate to say that i was easily impressed by the car itself coz i'm switching from Iswara to M2, which is a huge gap there haha.

Anyway can anyone listed down what are the free stuffs that they usually got from the SA when purchasing the car? Interested to know if there is any diff biggrin.gif

Is there any car checklist for Mazda2 here? I mean the 'what should i expect to check and see' kind of list when collecting the car?

Got mine yesterday hehe. Add me to the club too. Proud owner of Alu HB rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

Personal feel when driving (likely to be biased because changing from old Iswara to this baby)
The first few secs when starting to kick up the speed feels maybe sluggish, but after that its a smooth drive. Haven't try the sport and paddle shifters yet but its likely i don't have a need for it as the default D is more than enough for me. I started as a manual, and am a manual transmission lover, but i have no problem with the auto transmission offered. The learning curve is almost nothing anyway, just need to get used to your left leg sitting ducks all the time.

Almost no complain regarding the features and whats not. The car is absolutely brilliant. Almost got the hang of its i-Stop feature, and going to learn alot more later from the manual book. Brake is super responsive, which might be dangerous for me that got used to full-force braking in my old Iswara most of the time, even in jam haha. But that one i can cope with.

Even with the reverse camera, i still got used to turn my head towards behind to look for incoming car (well its a habit already, and it won't change because its simply efficient no matter how old fashion it is). Seat feels so nice, tho i am going to readjust on the upper part, else my head won't get that relaxed feeling when driving.

Design overall.. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Conclusion - No regret at all buying this car. wub.gif

I have questions here hmm.gif
- Do you guys leave the AC and fan toggle to on all the times (no need to off it even when off the car)? If what my SA told me, i don't need to toggle off the AC and fan like what i always i did in my old Iswara before when i off the engine, unless if i misunderstood his context hmm.gif
- If not using iStop, can i set the gear to N every time during stop and D again when want to move? (used to free the gear when car stop in heavy jam, and resume gear again when want to move in my old Iswara).
- How bad is the rain noise during heavy rain? Is it sound like heavy rain hitting zinc made roof?
- Do you guys normally adjust your headlamp to 1 (flashing further ahead)? I think by default the adjustment was set to 5, which covers limited range of view on the road? hmm.gif
- Where do you guys put your tissue box? blush.gif
- Where do you guys normally put your Smart Tag? Behind the MZD infotainment pad? If not, is there any other location where i can put my tag and the toll sensor can detect it without any problem (like the small space on the left side of the infotainment toggler)?

Thanks notworthy.gif

Mine is 2 mins++ before.. that's my highest record time. Its random tho, can be fast, and can be long stop. Not sure what affects the stop time hmm.gif

Nope didn't do coating. Plan to do that sometime later once my budget is stable.

WD-40 won't ruin the car's paint?

is that tar mark?
if it's tar, a stronger car shampoo should work
otherwise, can try tar and bug stain remover
*
Not sure but it seems like so... at first glance looks like scratch but tried to scratch it gently with my nail, and managed to clean it (at the cost of my nail cry.gif )

Is it ok to use WD40 to remove it, if really can remove that stain? hmm.gif

Btw the petrol indicator, each box on the indicator represents how many litres of petrol?

And i feel like if fill up till full, feels like there is a hidden box that is not shown on the indicator itself, and my indicator will stay full until like about 100km.

The petrol bar keep full for first 200KM, then only start to decrease. Then it's only 400KM range left (depends on your FC)
*
I was sure my petrol stayed full for around 150-160km before it goes down. Hmmm.. hmm.gif

Anyone can recommend me alternatives for swapping out battery aside from the service center in Selangor area? Its the same leaking issue again i think, the i-stop blinking in orange color non stop. Its like every 18 months will have this kind of issue, and 600+ for swapping to new battery is really ^^;;;; was thinking if there are other shops that can do the same, but at lower prices.

Oil filter - RM15~30 (saw Shoppee got promotion, else its usually around 30++ from spare part shops)
Engine oil - Rm100~200++ (see your preferred oil)
Labour - RM30~50 (mechanic around my place charges this price range for standard EO change)

**In the event you let workshop source the oil filter, please make sure they get the correct model**
(because the oil filter for Skyactive series vs pre-Skyactive looks the same, but diff parts number. And both are different even though can fit. My go to workshop made that mistake last time)
*
So its okay to send Mazda2 to normal workshop for maintenance? Or do you feel Mazda SC still the better one?

its ok if send just for oil change. if there's something wrong with ur engine, u might have to go back to SC. Skyactiv tech is still new and there's not much dedicated workshops outside really knows much bout it. u can find more workshops who know how to fix rotary engines compared to new skyactiv engines.
*
Ouch.. like that have to go to SC.. mega_shok.gif

My engine light indicator is already blinking, definitely need to send liao.

Does ur car still have free service? if yes, nothing much to worry at the moment. Just sign and service ur car. Now they can pick up ur car from ur house or service ur car on the spot d.
*
Nope.. 5 years edy.. mega_shok.gif plan to try do maint on normal workshop, seeing that alot ppl sending even new car to workshop instead of SC. hmm.gif

So i take my chances to service my car at outside worskhops because of the cost and the worksmanship is better than those in SC.
*
This is exactly why i wanna try bringing my car for maint outside. Not to say SC is bad, but its been long since Skyactive engine first came out, im sure at this point there are alot workshops know how to get it done. hmm.gif
