your passengers are your blindspot monitoring system haha... I think can call Live Blindspot Monitoring system. depending on how loud the scream is and how many !@#$%^ words come out will determine the danger level. This live system also can coach the driver when to exit junction, when to cut lane and is also is a reverse camera and rear airbags. Even merc also don't have such level of monitoring system.
If you know what is the correct way to setup your side mirror you could cover all the blind spot.
I am now setting the side mirror as the follwing

And you need to get used to see your rear mirror and also side mirror before you change lane instead of just rely on your side mirror, the side mirror function is to cover the area which your rear mirror is not covered.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) published a paper in 1995 suggesting how outside mirrors could be adjusted to eliminate blind spots. The paper advocates adjusting the mirrors so far outward that the viewing angle of the side mirrors just overlaps that of the cabin’s rearview mirror.
The paper advocates adjusting the mirrors so far outward that the viewing angle of the side mirrors just overlaps that of the cabin's rearview mirror. This can be disorienting for drivers used to seeing the flanks of their own car in the side mirrors. But when correctly positioned, the mirrors negate a car's blind spots. This obviates the need to glance over your shoulder to safely change lanes as well as the need for an expensive blind-spot warning system.
