Is it possible? How will it sound?

I can only afford either a 2nd hand BOSS ME-80 or a new VOX VT40+ being a bit pricey.

Lets say I plug it into a karaoke mixer, out to speaker cabinet, will it alter the sound drastically?

You just cannot use a speaker cabinet without a power amp. The cheapest power amp is probably EHX 44 Magnum which is probably RM700 new.

another cheaper alternative is to connect ME-80 with multimedia/PC speakers via REC OUT/PHONE output... if u already have those altec-lansing/creative/logitech/edifier with >2.1 speaker type, it'll be much better

since most multi-effects unit have amp/cabinet modelling, so sound reproduction won't be affected (slightly, maybe)

Hey man thanks for the info, I bought the ME-80 already.

I tried playing it through a karaoke amp. Guess what, it sounded like crap doh.gif

Currently playing using sennheiser headset, not bad la biggrin.gif
