The REIT would acquire 31 assets from Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd and QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd as the REIT's initial portfolio.

Assets to be acquired from DASB include Menara KOMTAR, Komunity@Mart hypermarket, KFCH International College and KOMTAR JBCC which is a retail mall in Johor Bahru, according to Kamaruzzaman. Assets from QSR include the KFC and Pizza Hut chain of restaurants nationwide and selected industrial assets

AmanahRaya will be Al-Salam's trustee while Damansara REIT Managers Sdn Bhd will be the REIT's manager

JCorp President and Chief Executive Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim said Al-Salam REIT aimed to double its asset value to about RM2 billion in the next two years from RM900mil currently.

if i am not mistaken, the last REIT didn't make a good debut. So i am a bit doubtful about this ipo

I think he is referring to IGB or KLCC Stapled? Just so on IGB, it went up 11% on the first trading day. Needless to say, due to their strong portfolio assets, it's prices at that time may be justifiable.

Not too sure of this one, I am considering to ballot for this IPO but I am also quite skeptical at the same time on its assets that it is holding. The only REIT that is strong that I know at the moment of is YTLREIT. High dividend yield too.
