Hi everyone, I wanted to upgrade my gpu, currently using gtx 650 2gb. my sistem specs are as below
i3 2120 3.3 ghz Gigabyte H61M S1 2xCorsair 4gb ddr3 1600mhz ram acbel G550W psu 80+
i think its all that matters to gpu upgrading. so i was thinking, it was time for an upgrade since i have a lil money to spend on my pc. I was thinking of getting the 1.5gb GTX 580 Matrix Platinum, at the same time somebody offered me a GTX 680 DCUii OC 2gb at nearly same price as the gtx 580. I just wanted to know if it's worth upgrading either to 580 or 680 in the long run as i don't want to change the gc for a long time.
thanks biggrin.gif

QUOTE(deadmadeuces @ Apr 4 2015, 02:41 AM) what about bottlenecking ? You worry about that? Look, if you opt for GTX 580 that is one serious power guzzler and your PSU will be struggling to handle it. Go straight for GTX 680. It's way faster, a lot cooler and uses less power than 580. Forget about bottlenecking, just opt for the faster card.

More power efficient and all round card and if you get some spare cash in future do upgrade to a Quad Core CPU i5-3470K or something or if you are looking for something cheap then i5-2400 is good too at some point the i3 will bottleneck horribly

It's rated 80+ but i dont know.

Then go for a GTX 760? it has newer architecture ( i know people will say they have both the Kepler GK104 but the 760 is the 104-225 architecture and overall more efficient Its recommended PSU is 500 watts with 30 Amps should be fine?
