QUOTE(light bulb @ Jul 6 2015, 07:13 PM) It seems like a lot of the dungeons in the new patch are mechanic heavy. This could take a while to digest since I'm not an old player Not as mechanic heavy as when the Queen of Argon patch was first introduced. Tera has always been mechanic heavy, but recent patches made things easier, thanks to the blips on the circles to indicate where you need to move and whatnot. In Kelsaik's Nest, and MCHM, for instance, the challenge was real. If you tried Dreadspire you'll know how difficult they can really get. SCHM, though, was just a matter of DPS race and strafing. Do those well and you get yourselves a clear. p.s. If there are any SEA players out there looking for a team to do the upcoming Timscape patch, PM Sehr in-game (server: Fraya). EU only, of course (the EU thread seems to be dead so tumpang this thread This post has been edited by piecemealcranky: Jul 7 2015, 02:44 PM |

QUOTE(shojikun @ Jul 7 2015, 03:55 PM) though EU ban anyone from Msia to create new accounts etc. i remember i can't log in any more (reason i quit tera eu) Yeah, what a stupid move on their end. Then they were scared shitless after Europeans went to NA servers, and insisted that En Masse close their "invitations" to Europeans via Steam. Anyway, there are still SEA players here, and in fact someone randomly added me on their FL. Just hoping they'd see this message and perhaps catch up xD QUOTE(light bulb @ Jul 7 2015, 04:04 PM) Wish you're on NA If I didnt have 300 days clocked on my warrior, and the ping better, I would've switched already. |

For those who want to see how good your connection really is to NA servers, download this tool: http://support.enmasse.com/tera/how-to-run-the-eme-diag-tool
Run the tool, and save the results. Open it and search for "Connectivity Test". You'll find "enmasse port" values (80, 443 and 10001). If your number is 0.3 and lower, your connection is playable. After 0.3 it gets laggy. Last I did this test I managed to get around 0.3+ which means it's going to be laggy. The lower the number, the better. QUOTE(meltonsteel @ Aug 24 2015, 11:33 PM) Although I play on EU, the only way to get sub 180-200ms from here is to use tunnelling. They work, for sure, but if you've got a major Internet bottleneck, like, for example, the maintenance of the undersea cable that took them 2-3 months to fully repair won't make things better. WTFast used to work well out of the box but now I've gone back to using Battleping. Not sure if anyone knows but your latency varies depending on your server + external IP address your net is assigned to. I can go into detail if anyone is interested. QUOTE(Kirino2012 @ Aug 25 2015, 02:22 AM) hi u r lucky cause ive wasted money n heres my experience WTFast reroutes your connection so you can't actually see your actual ping via Resource Monitor. Battleping, however, allows you to. Same for Smoothping and other tunneling services. There's also Pingzapper which gave me the lowest latency to EU at one point but unfortunately places a 24-hour auto-ban on you if you connect via their tunnels to EU (fine on NA I think. give it a shot).battleping > wtfast the problem with wtfast is that its not very stable, up n down sometime feels like its worse using it battleping np at all, u can gain just a little bit more ping only, not significant but it will make ur connection more stable n smooth well this is my experience not sure how others btw can i transfer character to other server? how2do it? ty QUOTE(icemetal88 @ Aug 25 2015, 06:50 PM) The trick to lowering your latency (for me at least, on EU servers) is getting the correct external IP matched with the correct tunnel server. For instance, on Unifi with an external IP of 175.XXX.XX.XX I can get about 200ms to Netherlands 2. With 2XX.XXX.XX.XX IP, I get 175ms. That's a whopping 30 ms difference and about 15 ms in-game. |

QUOTE(Vagabond @ Sep 7 2015, 01:08 PM) I'd say Lancer and Brawler would be on equal footing when it comes to tanking. Warrior and Berserker will be phased out as secondary tanks, partly due to the massive buffs Lancer is getting as well. Brawler is just, well, Brawler. QUOTE(Xypheria @ Dec 17 2015, 06:46 PM) Anyone is using paid version of VPN? Battleping bugged out on a couple of servers for me, so I managed to bypass the 20 minute restriction for a good one month. Can recommend me which one is good? Now is using WTF trial, thinking to get BP (but trial is .. On EU, Battleping gives lower latency vs WTFast and now you've gotta pay for WTFast (again, those scammers). I'd recommend BP over WTFast but sometimes their servers can get pretty shit. |

QUOTE(EternalC @ Dec 21 2015, 10:59 AM) WTF still free yo, just that you need to register to use it instead of no need registering last time. Uh, perhaps you brushed off this announcement?Battleping got unpaid version? https://www.wtfast.com/pages/upcoming_changes_free_wtfast/ Free but, not for long. And nope, Battleping has always offered 20 min d/c trial for you to test out. |

QUOTE(hafizhans @ Jan 31 2016, 09:03 AM) Latency and minor patches and of course, population. 250-350ms to NA. You can get as low as 170ms to EU (190ms in game) with tunneling. EU's population dwindled since the release of BnS and it will come back up I'd assume with the next PvE patch. Both are currently running the latest western patch (Brawler+FI). |

Figured I should say that the game is still very playable at 200+ ish ping. Recently did a slaying/high score run in SSHM and almost broke 17.8k score. Only reason is we have no ninja and a sorc with Starfall
Video here: https://youtu.be/EN8lAgeDgoY And yeah, this is EU, I know. Don't extradite me please since EU thread is dead. QUOTE(xavier7 @ Jul 25 2016, 11:36 AM) how do you guys workaround the lag? lol besides using WTFast? Short answer, yes. In fact, IP works differently via tunnel routes on programs like WTFast and Battleping. Best way to do this is to take note of your current IP, run a ping test on WTFast servers, and check the best server. Now Choose best on your specific region on 2nd server selection (hopefully you've got Advanced to do this) and let the software do its thing. If it seems higher than it should, change IP and retry but stay on the same server selection.i've port forwarded the game server port on my router, still lags any good IP on unifi to play this? Should work well if you did it right. On EU I get 185ms to 220ms. This post has been edited by piecemealcranky: Aug 5 2016, 10:59 AM |

QUOTE(plazing @ Aug 7 2016, 08:26 PM) nice run, I'm still scared to enter sshm even my gear is already sf+15. btw, pve can easily done with 250ms ping and maybe slight disadvantage for pvp vs. lower ping player. Thanks o/Why are you scared? Yeah it's playable but the DPS loss can be rather significant based on the class you play. Take Warriors for instance. It's speculated that for every +100ms you lose 10% DPS. I'm not bothered by this usually but when you're aiming for a high score it's pretty demotivating. QUOTE(light bulb @ Aug 7 2016, 08:53 PM) Awakening enchantment is the next big RNG thing that drains your gold and MWA supply every patch, assuming you're willing to cope with BiS gears. |

QUOTE(hahantu @ Oct 24 2016, 08:30 PM) anyone using mudfish getting user authentication failed error? I tried Mudfish once. I'm on EU though, and changing server selection manually triggered a 24-hour auto-ban on my account. Any successive tries resulted in more auto-bans. Best bet is still WTFast. Last I played on NA, it lowered the ping by about 10%, from 280ms to about 240 or so. Not sure if that's worth it though.I was looking to play this game and made a new account yesterday and I use mudfish to reduce the ping. It works yesterday and today when I tried to login im getting this error. I tried registering new account and was able to login without mudfish but as soon as I use it, another error. and now both account can't login even without mudfish. It seems lately that spikes are occurring a lot more often to Europe and most likely NA too. Not sure if it has anything to do with the DDOS attack recently, but this has been rather upsetting cause the new patch just hit and RMHM will be challenging with anything higher than 200ms. p.s. For those playing on EU; did you play on any other servers besides Fraya before the merge (PvE)? If so we're on Mystel now so find me, IGN Sehr and we can tackle some stuff together xD |

QUOTE(hahantu @ Oct 26 2016, 05:29 PM) Thanks for the information. I tried to use battleping with other account, so far no problem. What is your latency to tera eu? I used to get like 250ms to na and around 350++ to eu which is why i choose to play in tera na. With battleping lowest I can get to na tera is 200ms and stable which is worth it imho. I get from the low 180ms to 220ms.With the right IP address can get 175ms. ![]() This one was with Battleping. This post has been edited by piecemealcranky: Oct 27 2016, 04:01 AM |

QUOTE(hahantu @ Nov 7 2016, 07:44 PM) wow that ping, demmmm That's the thing, I'm on EU, and on EU you get to enjoy this. Gameforge is also improving a lot, and in fact better than the crap going on at En Masse (with Treeshark leaving etc).mind telling me what isp you're using? im using battleping to connect, Im getting 200-220ms to bping server (west coast) with ingame shows around 270-280ms. Even without tunnelling you get low 200s on latency. On NA 3 years ago, I could get as low as 250ms with WTFast. I advised on how you can do this on previous posts, but the general rule is to get the right IP address (reset router/reconnect) and test run chained servers. There's also mudfish but I advise against it if you're on EU as I was temp banned for a while xd |
