Hi guys. Just find out there's this Yi Action Camera the alternatives of Go Pro. Before that I just knew Go Pro out there. And after searching through this thread, woah the quality of this camera is superb ( not to the extent of superb, but very very good to my eyes hehe ), am going to travel to Bangkok for a week trip, contemplating whether to get this Yi Action Camera or a proper mirrorless camera the Sony A6000. The price is really attracting for its performance, am asking if Yi Camera take great picture compared to those mirrorless camera? Am not going to spend extra more for a mirrorless if Yi can do the same thing( or more or less the same ) And also where should I buy Yi camera from?
Any suggestion will be much appreciated. notworthy.gif

Hello guys. Just bought one set of xiaomi yi from lazada. However it doesnt come with original monopod, but third party monopod. I am asking whats the difference of the original monopod and third monopod?

And if I ever buy original bluetooth shuttle and attach to my third party monopod, will it work and do they compatible?

I am confused of whats the purpose of the bluetooth shuttle and its usage. Mind enlighten me? thanks

Actually u can see from the picture that the monopod is not the ori one.shakehead.gif
I dont think the 3 party have the additional space to attach the bluetooth remote. sweat.gif
it act as shutter button so that you take picture with the monopod extended to it maximum length. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hello, fellow sifu. Got my xiaoyi cam from lazada. So what should I do other than updating the app firmware to the latest?

Hi fellow sifu. Just shot my first video shooting while I am riding the motorcycle ( my bro holding xiaoyi ). I shot in 1080p 60fps. It turned out the image quite pixelated, and has a lot of bokeh ( the street lights ).

My xiaoyi is covered with the kingma waterproof case, it has another layer covering the actual lens that why the quality kinda pixelated? Or I should shoot with no case covering the lens, baring the whole body and lens and shoot it so that I can get the best image, shall I? And I didn't tweak any setting since the first day I received my xiaoyi.

And one thing that I have encountered is that the video is spilt into 2. I have no idea why is that. Can anyone enlighten me? Any comments will be appreciated smile.gif

Great video. Love the slow-motion effect and also the overall feel of your video. Going for Hatyai trip next week, going to shoot a video and it's my first time doing so. Any tips for beginner like me? Like how to take better angle, do I need to see from my phone or shall I shoot it blindly? Thanks smile.gif notworthy.gif

Dropped my Yi cam on tar road accidentally.. And the middle of my lens is scratched and the pic turned out blur a bit at the middle part there.

Anything that I can do? Like replacing the lens or whatsoever ?
