Testing my friend's yicamera, found 1 cons that i really dont like - the screw is too shallow, so when using tripod it can't lock firmly. Even my monopod also cant fit perfectly.

Other than that, really great device for money !

Timelapse testing (randomly pick a song)

wah 64gb ar....
any brand recommend
*
any brand, as long as class 10.

just tested 2 timelapse, picture size set to lowest (5mp), to record a 20 seconds timelapse video it took around 1gb memory ohmy.gif

so if going to a trip, dont know 32gb will enough or not...

wew.. how many second per pic?
*
depends on the object. The cloud today was not moving fast, so i set 5sec.

I prefer Gopro editor than picasa, picasa have not much setting to edit the timelapse.

depends on how many fps also. cause cloud wasnt moving fast so i set 60fps to make it more interesting.

QUOTE(mastering89 @ Jun 9 2015, 05:32 PM)
that's normal.
when u start going for video instead of photo.
u need to prepare mentally & financially for hdd space  laugh.gif

im used to shoot time lapse at full resolution (24mp on dslr) in RAW  sweat.gif
one time lapse session can take around 8gb space , then edited photos around quarter of that, then the video itself.

now shooting in xiaomi yi is a good savings of space.
normally for full reso time lapse shoot with Yi, for 1 hour shooting (makes up to 10-20sec video after post editing), will be around 3gb. haha  icon_rolleyes.gif  laugh.gif  whistling.gif
after editing, get 10sec video for 100+mb compressed
*
if not gonna crop , why shoot at full reso? takkan u render a 24mp video shocking.gif

1080p roughly 2MP only, even 4K also less than 9mp sweat.gif

QUOTE(mastering89 @ Jun 9 2015, 05:33 PM)
can we use Go Pro Studios?
was suggested by friend, but had'nt had time to try  hmm.gif
*
can,im using it.

nice photo....
ur photo straight out from the camera? is very sharp...

nope, both edited. straight from camera color is on the dull side, have to pump contrast and saturation.

Sorry bro. I dont sell silicon cover for lens.. because once have the waterproof casing lens cover will be redundant.

*
this is so incorrect.

When using waterproof casing, video sound will impaired. Unless u dont want sound on ur video then that's fine. And most importantly, using waterproof case must use "dry pad" (i dont know what it call) to absorb the moist, or the casing will have fog. So using waterproof casing all the time is not a good idea.

you're right also bro.

But depends on individual usage la.. for me i will just keep my cam in the casing all the time to protect my baby.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
u use dry pad all the time ? if no, no fog ?

I dint use dry pad. No fog at all. Because I just use for normal usage.

Unless u put it in water or go cold places like highland. Fog will only appear when the temperature difference is huge.
*
xiaoyi won't produce heat after using for a while? (like after 15 minutes video recording?) i though the heat will generate difference temperature enough to make it foggy?

where u get the case?? how much for that case? and size?
*
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ucket=16#detail

If you mean the black case, it is a bundle = RMB 110

waterproof case + silicon case = RMB 38.

kingma charger+2 battery = RMB 80 i think.
