guys i need your advice
i m planning to buy 1 unit this cam but i notice there is no display panel
is it suitable to be use for snorkeling activity?
if no display, i need to play with the setting using phone right?
but if i am far away with my phone, how do i adjust the setting?
is it connected to phone by wifi? how far is the wifi range?

yes. no screen.
use phone to configure the setting, wifi connectivity from my usage not very stable if further than 5meter
and the connection wont work if the camera is submerge in water ya.
if u dont have the phone with u, u can only change the mode , photo <--> videos

if ur budget allows, u can get a 2nd generation xiaoyi cam -> yi 4k

what was your experience in using xiaomi yi without the lcd compared to some other models that do have the screen like sjcam/gopro?

1 thing tat always required to do is connect to phone app, and see what im shooting first thru the app view finder.
tats the only down side without a screen.

yeah that's my concern as well when I compared it to sj4000. btw, is it me or yi's video and camera is a bit greenish?

can connect to phone via wifi but not clear as big screen monitor/tv

Hi guys! I saw u tube Gropro guide for night video is by using 1080p 24fps.very smooth footage. Last night I went to I city and tried it. The footage was not really smooth as there are noise.

u can straight press the capture button on the camera itself, but u have to agak the view u wanna capture

phone definitely cant connect to yicam under water, but im not sure the bluetooth shutter can or not. my guess is cannot.

normally u guys charge xiaoyi, need to on o nt? mine seems like battery issue, need on then can charge, after full charge didnt use for few days it cant on anymore, and battery drain very fast, less than 30min i think
