I've just bought and created an account on WoW. At the time of creation, I had selected the option to pay by credit card. But I now realise that is a bad move, as there are some months that I won't have internet connection, and thus, it would be a waste if they just keep deducting my money from my credit card, eventhough I am not playing.

I have tried to change the method of payment, but it only allows me to change the type of credit card and the type of plan that I want. There is no option to change from credit card to prepaid card.

Is this because I haven't paid before? I am still on the 30 days free access that came with the starter pack.

Just cancel your subscription and resubscribe using the new method.

i think there is an option for you to either freeze payment or change method of payment.

just go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and click account managment. type in your user id and password and you will be prompted to a page. go check it out
