Budget and what kind of apps will be used?  , any preference?

receive more negative feedback from user.. so, obviously that hp is problem a lot.

i'll choose acer z one compare those 2 even acer have mushy keypads.  asus also not bad.. just power button issue and battery issue not charging correctly.. dont know if its fix or not.. but it happens to certain transformer model.

how much is ur budget? if u concern about battery, there is other alt notebook for u

Why not get a laptop and a tablet instead or just a tablet.

another is Acer Switch 11 SW5-171-337K - 11.6" IPS FHD Touch + i3-4012Y + 4GB + 60GB + W8.1: RM1820 but out of ur budget range.

Acer V3-112P-P0SJS 11.6” - RM1210 also have decent battery life. estimated is 7 hours on heavy usage.

for ur usage for presentation, i think switch 10 much suitable u. not much different in screen display as well as have detachable keyboard.. need type, its lousy to type on screen and a bit slow,then use keyboard. present ur work, detach it..

Low cost and detachable notebook. you can stand around during presentation cz its detachable    The Switch 10 is in the same price category as a Chromebook or mid-range 10-inch Android tablet.

fyi, there is always pros and cons between android and apple. but current apple product is different than steve jobs era    as for android, its have a lots of supported apps but many bloatware as well

ya, sifu you are right, better CPU is somehow "future proofing"... the i7 may not be get outdated very soon compared to i5

5400rpm, that speed is normal. ya slow..    but 14", if i7 QM... its normal with uncomfortable heat... thats why.. if i7 HQ, QM better go 15". cz inside not that pack.  back then, i think envy always overheat...

Wut?!?! My 3 to 4 years old Hp DV6 still kicking and doing fine. Can even game on it albeit mid to low settings.

More space for the heat to dissipate and also more space for the air to flow can cram better cooling system.

It is using the celeron type proc. Don't wory much about heat but do some maintenance from time to time like dust off the dust. If you are doing basic stuff, the proc wont heat up much.

Open up the laptop and use brush and compress air to dust it off.

i turn my notebook 24/7.. even my desktop too.  amd since 2011 is very disappointing. even until now. i used to be amd fans.. but.. now.. i feel very disappointed. my laptop, amd phenom, still use until now. its been 4 years already.. almost 5.. still kicking.  amd heat always been an issue too. amd notebook for gaming, need think twice.
i clean it once in 6 months.. cz i 24/7 on.. and dust inside really accumulate very fast. reapply thermal paste... also helps a lot.. and i do it my own    even i do service to my fren as well.. i open many kind of notebook..

Ops. Dint see... low range I think Acer always hv better spec.. haha.. I got k45 3 yrs old de.. now fan not working Jor.. last Acer oso die bout the same period of time.. so low end 1 Build quality abang adik to me.. mind as well find better spec.. My 2 cents

u need thermal pad or paste to keep ur laptop from overheat...

Both apply at CPU n GPU rite.. dun really need change yearly.. when it worn out only replace
