Hi there! Would like to ask for some advice on the models below. What about this 2 models? HP Pavilion 14-ab020tx Notebook PC - RM 2,399 HP Pavilion 14-ab024tx Notebook PC - RM 2,999 The difference seems to be only the CPU, 1 i5 the other i7. and is it possible to change the 4gb ram to 8gb ram? Is it worth it or are there other better choices? Please advise Thank you!!! This post has been edited by hxleo1: Jul 7 2015, 10:59 AM

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Jul 7 2015, 11:03 AM) both using dual core.. just the different in clock speed.. ram 4gb is currently min requirement.. if its comes with 4gb ram, you can add another 4gb ram to make it 8gb ram.. if its already 8gb ram. its enough already. if the 2999 comes with i7 + 8gb ram. then.. take ab024tx... if your budget restricted. then can get ab020tx Not sure if it comes with 8gb but i guess should be expandable to it or was wondering if should get a probook. Been using a probook for work and i have to say it is pretty good just not sure if i can play some 3D games in it as it has no graphic card. Anyway good advice! thanks!

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Jul 7 2015, 11:29 AM) just i7 speed give bonus.. higher clock.. raya discount now.. might be good choice to spend... 1 more comparison i found is dell inspiron 14 7000 series (7447) vs HP Pavilion 14-ab025tx Notebook. Dell has better graphics but hp has better processor and hard disk space. What do you think of this 2 laptops? Hi guys, just wanted to ask for my brother on gaming laptop.
1. Preferred brand: none but with good after sales support 2. Budget: 4000 - 6000 3. Usage: Gaming and Movies 4. Preferred laptop size: 15" - 17"
He was looking at alienware 15.6" and 17" both around 6469 and 6799. Was wondering if there are any better alternative comparable to alienware. Considering reliability, cooling and after sales support.
Thanks for helping! Hoping to get some good comparison here.

QUOTE(AthrunIJ @ Jul 23 2015, 09:11 PM) The only one i could think of is Illegear. Check it out. Clevo chassis and good after sale service. Clevo chassis means? Yea i was checking illegear but not sure if it is reliable or the cooling part. alienware seems to be getting good reviews on the net. thanks for helping!

QUOTE(AthrunIJ @ Jul 23 2015, 11:05 PM) Cooling is good. Clevo is a company who makes bare bone laptop chassis/casing. It has the quality you seek and from illegear thermal management it has one of the best cooling too. alright, i'll suggest illegear to compare with alienware to him. Let's see what he chooses out of this 2. Thanks!
