Looking for two laptops (for wife and I)

Wife
1. Preferred Brand: any
2. Budget: RM3,000 (is this overkill?)
3. Usage: mainly for excel/ppt, watch drama, browse net
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: light weight, 14" below so that can carry around in handbag or small laptop bag

Myself
1. Preferred Brand: any
2. Budget: RM3,000
3. Usage: mainly to connect to tv to watch hdmi videos, microsoft office, ps1/ps2 emulator
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: doesnt really matter but prefer small screen (as im gonna be using the tv size anyway. would be convenient to move around).

Thank you for quick reply.

Heard that ASUS customer service can be quite tricky so I'll survey between lenovo and dell.
