1.5k hardly to get good specs with certain requirement + and its totally not suite for gaming. Will cause lag.. + gst.. 1.5k very hard 
might be EoL if you did not see any at the shop... Try look at garage sales..  How bout the new Lenovo Y50?

If me, i would pick at least i5 + gt840m for budget gaming laptop. Price slightly above 2k.

I would not pick anything less than I7 for gaming... slightly over 2400 only if Inspiron 3443

1. Preferred Brand  : Any
2. Budget  : 2.5k, might be able to expand to 3k if the upgrades are worthy enough
3. Usage  : Study, heavy word docs, occasional sims 4 and goat simulator
4. Preferred laptop/screen size  : 14", blue variant colour is sort of a must, cd drive and quite light to travel around campus.

Currently planning to buy my laptop at karamunsing, if theres a good deal online, might as well have it delivered if the prices are that big.

this is ultra slim series. but quite good to move around with
variant color im not sure, as well as cd drive.. if the notebook you doesnt have cd drive, you can buy external disk drive around rm100. more or less that price..

since festival season, discount will helps you reduce the price. buy/wo free gift also reduce the price. check out in garage sales. look for person that have a lots of transaction and feedback, then that is your trusted seller. some seller sell price cheaper than 1 another. so it might took your time to look around.
