1. Preferred Brand- Dell/HP
2. Budget - Below 5k to around 4k. Try keep it above 4k.
3. Usage - Surfing, work and game*
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15-17in

Don't want touchscreen. Am searching for desktop replacement so battery, and weight is no issue.

*I used to be a gamer and bought a Dell XPS (back when that was the premium gaming/entertainment line). Now transforming into uncle, I still may itchy itchy install MOBA & FPS to play. I seriously doubt I will buy dedicated gaming laptop but will appreciate a good graphics card on it.

Thank you!

Hmm, would not suggest the HP envy line as it overheats. Unless you don't mind getting the HP Omen. As for Dell the Alienware is better than the XPS line because of cooling.

If not Illegear (No GST charged until June (+/-) and good after sale service) brows.gif brows.gif

My Friend bought an MSI and then spoil 3 times, he sent it for repair for like 3 times. process was long. it seems like the MSI resellers and sellers only know how to Market their products but the quality and after sales service are slow and horrible. Do you have any suggestions MSI fanboy?
*
Ivan11,

Resellers and Warranty Service are separate companies and unrelated even though they are dealing with the same brand.

Dealers/Resellers also have to depend on the Maintenance company to service the warranty for their customers. So sometimes it's good to come to forum and see which ones have good experience and support those instead.

My only suggestion (since there can be many factors) is to always start-up the notebook at the dealers place since any issues can do a 1 to 1 swap. And then fully utilise the notebook within the first 5 days so that if any issues happen then you can quickly claim warranty.

In your case, the best thing to do also is to send in a complain to MSI Malaysia together with the RMA number and your friends notebooks serial number. With this complaint in B&W then MSI can whack their maintenance company kaw kaw and make them improve.

I think you should change the name to Cyberforge instead of Aftershock. TechArmory mentioned they change the name already.
