Emm I think Ive seen somewhere people said GTX 850M is same with 950M in term of efficiency & performance because BOTH are using maxwell. Where 950 is slighly overclocked higher. You just can overclock urself the 850m to make it similar with 950m. So better find laptop with 850m that is cheaper than 950m. The same goes for GTX 860M maxwell vs GTX 960M...

1. Preferred brand - Any brand but not Dell or HP (My friend doesn't like it)

Both have heat issue. If you want to get them. i suggest looking up how to underclock and/or undervolt cpu to get a good temp.

Asus does have good quality in it and is a new model while the MSI is a refresh model with newer hardware.

Do make some time to check it out in person as it will help you to make a decision faster.

dont forget, each country notebook have different socket for power adapter... my korea hp notebook is using 2 pin plug instead of 3 pin plug for SEA notebook..  different region seems have different socket.

sifu, just wanna ask, if comparing the Asus K501LX (I5 - 5200u, 4 gb ram, 1tb hdd, gtx 950m gpu, 15 inch FHD display, window 8.1 os, rm2788) with the inspiron 7447 (i7, free dos, rm2868) which is better in terms of hardware specs and other factors ?

msi cx is using same gpu as dell 7447.. ddr3 isnt it..

Yup, you are correct bro. CX series is using the GT940M with 2GB DDR3 as it is more for office use. And maybe for budget gamers that don't have high graphic requirements.

But the majority of the G-series notebooks should be using DDR5. Example like the GT72 Dominator or even the newer GE60/70 Apache models.

inspiron and Latitude which is more durable ?  but i check the latitude E6440 with just few hundred difference but the graphic is

yea true and the shape bulky but i wan some reliable not means build tough at least carry around in bag throw here and there or roll in car booth no problem my current Y400 screen got line suspect is impact form hitting something and i cooked the GTX650 playing COD non stop in non aircond room   

Need recommendation for a laptop, criteria as follows:
- large screen, preferably 17"
- as light as possible, thin as well
- high spec, good for gaming
- international warranty, especially in uk

throw the bag together not only notebook it self, cod in med setting play day and night but not every day, until one day it blank black then recover in fe second ....after that few week got smell come out and the coming month can't launch the game anymore but still can watch the movie before game start, since that few operation also come out blue screen say power failure, Bluetooth some time cannot launch, key pad type too fast also got extra wired character come out, so i disable the graphic card still use until now, but playing HD movie no problem. the screen problem is another issue not related to GPU i think it is hit some thing or hard press Y400 screen cover is very soft. 
7404 atg if i bring out at Starbucks sure catch many attention
