All the while there r certified refurbished units in the market 1. Acer, dell, ASUS.. just this few months suddenly pop up from nowhere tat those unit not certified 1... ASUS most frequently met

My Fren who specialized in 2nd units told me so... he bought 50 units ASUS a series... all faulty... he send back to ASUS.. ASUS say those unit NEVER been sold thus warranty never honored... not certified refurbished units

edit... i see this one and also the ux305 review as replacement of the model i order... lol
*
No its not replacement of zenbook, but it just another variant of transformer book series. Zenbook has better build quality, and possibly longer battery life. AFAIK asus T300 chi also don't have full size USB port (correct me if I'm wrong)

wahh! still got choice like this ah? i thought no hope already coz i thought my spec is too specific. thanks so much ya!

UPDATE: oh no! all you mentioned are not touch enabled display.  sad.gif
maybe i listed too crowded. here i make it simpler.

Must be SSD or SSHD at least
Must be touchscreen
Must be ultrabook in size and weight
Must be under 3k

If possible backlit keyboard
If possible Full HD

How about Acer v3 371, i5-5200u/ 4gb ram/256gb ssd/13.3 FHD touch. Price around 2.5k. But plastic built and no backlit

I am looking for a mobile computer for daily office use as my company take back Lenovo x240 because my contract expired.I found this laptop is ideal for move around and I want to buy for myself one but due to high budget. I need your guys recommendation.

1. Preferred Brand: no preference
2. Budget: 1500-2500
3. Usage: Microsoft Office application, surfing Internet, stream/download YouTube/movies, VirtualBox/VMware application (2-3 any at given time)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 12.5-13 (preferred 12.5")
5. After Sales Support: On-site preferred
6. Others: Pointer (nipple in the middle of keyboard that performed like mouse), touch screen is optional

Thank you!

I don't remember any laptop with track point below 2.5k except Acer Aspire switch 12. Another gud choice is Asus zenbook ux305fa, or maybe Asus T300fa. No onsite support though. Both Asus don't have track point.

1 more comparison i found is dell inspiron 14 7000 series (7447) vs HP Pavilion 14-ab025tx Notebook.

Dell has better graphics but hp has better processor and hard disk space.
What do you think of this 2 laptops?

Dell: http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-14-7447-...s=mydhs1&~ck=mn
HP: http://h20386.www2.hp.com/MalaysiaStore/Me...9&opt=&sel=PCNB

Nope. Dell 7447 is definitely better in CPU and graphics. (Even if you mean the i5-4210H model). Hard disk is cheap nowadays, so I don't think it will matter much.

im not looking fro gaming  spec bro, the asus is good, but warranty like sh*t and the processor is power consuming..

dell 7447 is dated and old spec..
*
Dell 7447 is old spec? There are hardly any i7-5xxxHQ quad core in our market at the moment, while GTX950m is just rebadged of GTX850m with slightly higher clockspeed.

Sifu,

i plan to get Dell vostro 5480 i7 laptop for personal & business used.

from standard battery is just 3 cell 51.Wh, what is the option to have longer power usage like during flight more than 5 hours.

Upgrade low volt ram & SSD how many hours can be extend?

thanks
*

Dell vostro already use low voltage ram. Adding SSD only increase battery life around 30 minutes. i think some Dell Latitude can survive longer than vostro. Any specific reason why you want Vostro?

1. Preferred brand: Any brand
2. Usage: Normal stuffs, surfing the internet, YouTube, some gaming
3: Budget: below RM 1700
4: Screen size: 13-15 inch

I'm on a tight budget, can't afford a laptop with great specs. This will be my first laptop, so I want a laptop with at least Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, Nvidia or AMD graphic card, good battery life, Windows 8.1. Thanks.

now im still using older gen vostro as business used only, this unit offer lower weight and average budget on wallet.

Personally I think the price is quite high for such specs and only include hd resolution. Asus zenbook looks better compared to this. ~Just my 2sen.

Asus UX305FA – 13.3 FHD / M-5Y10 / 8GB / 256GB M.2 SSD / W8.1 ,1.2kg, price around Rm2700
