Yup and when they Google benchmarks, they did not realize most of the benchmark online are all for the DDR5 variant in the overseas market.

1. Preferred Brand : Lenovo
2. Budget : around 2.5k
3. Usage : gaming, capable of running dota2 at a decent  60fps
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14"

I was thinking Lenovo Ideapad Y410p. But I can't seem to find it online, not even in the official lenovo website. Would it be a good buy? Any other comparable laptops?
*
that model no more od... why dont get dell 7447... comes with i7/i5 and gtx850m ddr3.. but pretty decent to run dota 2 at max setting. dota 2 is not graphic demand nod.gif

the i5... will be around 2.5k while i7 will be around 2.7k (freeDos). but i can say worth to spend for this specs nod.gif

65 WHr,6-Cell Battery
2 Year

2nd option..
Change i7 to i5 version.
(The rest same as above) can it be done?
SSD -256gb
RAM - 16gb

Anyone know roughly what will be the price for this 2 spec?

Thx
*
i5 version should be around rm2500+/- i5 version is 500gb hdd. and its not hybrid type.
i7 series gt 2. 1 is without OS [rm2700+/-] and with windows 8.1 SL [rm2900+/-]

ssd itself is very expensive and limitted storage. but at least hybrid is much better than normal hdd in terms of its speed. even its the same rpm as normal hdd

I heard there is Asus GL552JX-DM014H available in Malaysia, but not many shops sell these. Is it true? If it is available, what is the price including GST? ty smile.gif
*
the specs is this isnt it?
i7 4720HQ / 4Gb ram/ 750Gb hdd / GTX950 2gb ddr3/Win8.1 with price more or less 3k .. is it urgent? hmm.gif the cheapest in garage sales is 2.9k.. in fact.. the price is 3k and below. if ur budget until 3.5k.. then.. use remaining money for upgrade the ram. either to 8gb or 16gb (2x8gb ram).

dota 2 is not much graphic demand..

*
yes.. it shud can perfecly run MKX but on medium setting. another ROG is using gtx860m which is much better than gtx950m... and gtx960m is just rebrand of gtx860m... so performance more or less the same. the recommended requirement system to run MKX is gtx965m...

Toshiba is kinda hard to get these days and other brand offer better specs than toshiba. there is toshiba notebook within your model but battery life is questionable.

can consider this
Dell Latitude 3440 14” A.G - i3-4005U , 4GB , 500GB , HD4400 , W8.1Pro with W7 Pro Preinstalled , 1 Yr NBD : RM2000+/- **business series

Dell Inspiron 3543 15” , i5-5200U , 4GB , 500GB , GT820M 2GB , DOS : RM1900+/-
Lenovo Z40-70 14” FHD - i5-4210U , 4GB , 1TB , GT820 2GB , W8.1 , 2YR : RM2000/-

if you can bargain to lower than 2k.. this acer is good deal too.
Acer Aspire E5-571G 15.6” - i5-5200 , 4GB , 1TB , Nvidia 840 2GB , W8.1 : RM2030+/-

1. My prefered brand is Asus ( unless you can suggest a brand        with as good or better quality and durability)

2.Budget is rm3600

3. Gaming (Dota 2, Assassin creed etc.) and programming( getting a degree in IT)

4.I prefer a laptop with Nvidia Gtx graphics(980m etc.), 15-17 inch screen, backlit keyboard(without is fine, just an extra), 8gb  ram (4gb is fine if it is upgradable to 12/16 gb ram)

Thanks in advance
*
i dont think you can get gtx980m for that 3.6k.. unless u building desktop and carry it to ur uni jz like me laugh.gif

your budget only allow you to take gtx860m/gtx960m

for example Gigabyte P35X v3 15.6" QHD+ - i7-4720HQ + GTX 980M 8GB D5 , Win8.1 : RM8600
or Illegear D5 15" FHD IPS - i7-4790 + GTX 980M 8GB GDDR5: RM8200 <<cheapest among all gtx980m

why acer switch 10 gpu so lousy cannot beat amd radeon 6290 my old laptop? watch movie also lousy but switch 10 can play pro evo soccer 2015 while radeon laggy
*
ur old netbook model is what?

that gpu on acer switch 10 is a low-end integrated bay trail graphics card. and the performance is equal wif Tegra 4 GPU. and core clock is significantly lower as well.
compare integrated hd graphics on switch 10 atom processor, 6290 clearly wins

Hi guys,
I have a desktop in my house but I am student so I need some mobility. Therefore, I need to buy a laptop.
My usage is watching movies, do assignments and play Dota 2
I don't put 1080p or highest setting to be my main objectives just need a laptop to use and play on Dota 2 on it. Prefer cheap. If it has to be crt monitor than crt it is to cut the cost haha  tongue.gif  JKJK  tongue.gif
THEFORE:
1. Preferred brand - Anythings
2. Budget - RM1000-2000
3. DOTA 2/Assignments/movies/ biggrin.gif

As long as it playable its okay even on low setting/720p .
