i think she said the camera app failed on her once while she was recording a video. then whole video gone and some stuff in the sd card also gone. maybe sd card problem?? not sure. official Lollipop tho and not rooted.
but really nice compared to Note3.

waiting to see how Note 5 will be like this year. might change phone

Thats why I have my recordings and pictures on the internal memory. Luckily N3 has 32gb. Only music and documents (backed to the cloud) on the SD. Rather lose the music than my memories

Funny, I was just researching that up today: SD corruption.

Was her memory card a SanDisk? They're known to have bad batches, even though there are good ones too.

Plus the fact that apparently, since the S3, Sammy phones have been known to be quite the "memory card killer". The N4 is just another in a long distinguished line of assassins.

Oh well, no use complaining when I'm completely addicted to the S-pen and I just can't get excited any more over any other phone that doesn't have it.

Especially with the new stuff they have right now - Smart Select for one is absolutely genius.

Maybe use a slower card? Say a Class 4 as opposed to Class 10? Class 4 runs cooler than 10

Upgraded successfully. Didnt face any issue whatsoever although I did not reset after upgrading. But I did reset it just now to get a fresh start. So far quite happy with the update although I prefer the dark scheme over the lighter one of L

My battery life so far. Pretty amazing I would say. And this is without Power Saving with all sync turned on. But using Wifi. Those having problems I strongly suggest factory reset

wow that's impressive, disable bloatware? any other tweaks you could share?
*
Nothing. I only disabled all those error reportings. I only enabled syncing. And I use power saver mode for location, and also switched off google location reporting. I will do another test with one full day with only mobile data and report here.

May I ask, significantly or just tiny?
*
I can get close to 5 hrs sot with full mobile data and 6 hours plus with wifi. Significant I guess. I like it coz it's snappy too. I disable animations on my Win 8 too

This is not Samsung's problem. Xiaomi mess up the firmware and the app.

cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif Pity though. It's an excellent fitness tracker for the price. And Xiaomi is taking their own sweet time to issue a fix. Seems that they're only concerned about maintaining compatibility with their own phones. The Mi Note is tempting. But my Note 3 is still serving me well
