QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 31 2017, 03:09 PM) My Samsung EVO 16GB still works.. I don't use it so much except for backup purposes, been about 2 years now... You can get those High Endurance cards that are built to accept constant read and write. Example SanDisk High Endurance MicroSDHC Memory Cards. Proven to last longer and comes with a 2 year warranty. Hi, thank you so much for the feedback given in this forum. Just curious does our note 3 support the speeds of uhs 1,2,3? Or any class 10 card will do?

After more then 3 years finally decided to join the dark side and change my stock rom. Been reading posts on rooting and flashing for around 6 months before daring to try. Used AryaMod Note7 Port V2.1[EOL].
1. Factory Reset First 2. Flashed latest stock ROM from sammobile with ODIN 3. Installed TWRP 4. Backed up everything 5. Copied the zip file for the ROM and Premium Sound control 6. Flashed - chose XME and S7E Camera 7. After 1st boot and reloading all apps flashed the premium sound control 8. touch wood so far so good gps works, most apps work
only one question, i know soundalive doesnt work very well with this rom and always shuts down when i use spotify. any way to disable it completely ? and how to we best use the aryamod premium sound control mod. thanks in advance to all sifus who have so patiently guided us

QUOTE(voncrane @ Aug 14 2017, 06:21 PM) Sound Alive isn't included in this ROM and so far, I haven't had the need for it as Sound Control (Beats Audio + Viper4Android + Dolby Atmos) satisfies all. I don't use Spotify either. I listen to music and a lot of audio podcasts. My music player of choice is Poweramp, which also sports an inbuilt equalizer. For podcasts (sound output thru car speakers), speech clarity is important and I achieve that using the Dolby Atmos app (Speech profile, Surround Virtualizer 'ON', Dialogue Enhancer 'ON' and Volume Leveler 'ON'). Included are also Music, Movie and Game modes. For head/earphone needs, Viper4Android is where you want to be. I can achieve surround sounds (using Headphone Surround +, effect levels can be adjusted) and the music/audio truly surrounds you. Ultimately, plug in a decent ear/headphone, play high-res audio files, open up the settings and adjust accordingly till you find your sweet spots. I moved from that to the Note7 Port and on my device, this has been quite stable. No hangs, crashes or whatever. Could also be cuz I reboot it at least once a week. Do a full shutdown and cold boot. There's a saying that phones can behave differently with the same ROM, use whichever is most stable to your device and requirements. Thanks, will give it a go

QUOTE(voncrane @ Aug 31 2017, 01:20 PM) Interesting .. I believe this is the first time I'm hearing the genuine one sucks.. Currently using one and so far so good. Can Waze for 4hrs+ with screen at 50%. Of course, it's still a couple months old. See how by a year. Mind sharing how the Sun Global one performs? As I'll be thinking of getting a backup next year.. Just in case.. RRP of Note 8 is . RM150 is about right. Zerolemon for the win. Touch wood no major issues so far, except selfie camera can't take videos. Tempted to try Google Camera. Can anyone point me to where to get the apk as it's no longer in Google store anymore.

Thinking of changing from Aryamod note 7 since it seems to lag and is ? Checking licences all the time. Wonder should I go for the C9 aspire, phoresis, or the lineage oreo. Daily driver so stability and reliability is the most important thing. Thanks all

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 17 2018, 11:32 PM) I was on the Aryamod's now EOL ROM..What do you mean by its checking licenses all the time? Currently running the AspireTeam C9 Pro ROM and it's been stable so far. Lineage is community driven and so more bleeding edge stuffs. Hard to describe. When I use the Gmail, chrome or Facebook app at the bottom the is a notification - checking licences that pops up every now and then

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 19 2018, 08:10 PM) Hmm, that's indeed strange.. Seems like it was a rogue app doing such.. Definitely not the ROM and surely not Google services.. Google would just openly use the notification bar for prompts, like the ones we get when trying to login the same email on our phones but on a strange pc or connection. Facebook app doesn't have any licenses to check. It just runs.. Thus its time to reflash. Likely will try the C9 when I have the time. Thanks

Finally surrendered and bought a xiaomi mi max 3 to replace my Samsung note 3. Now that I don't abuse it daily equipped my zerolemon 10k battery the darn thing stays on standby for weeks. Gonna factory reset the note 3 soon and flash the latest stable custom Rom. What's recommended now? What I'm looking for is stable, no lag and as few bugs as possible Thank you all sifus for all the support

QUOTE(PGV3910 @ Jan 7 2019, 08:48 PM) Me oso planning to get mi max 3..but only for dual sim capability..i think not worth it..btw, sell ur zl to me ler chip2..hehe Still want to use as spare phone. Also to use for kids to watch stuff. Cannot sell the zerolemon monster. Plan to clean wipe install the most stable custom Rom and charge it every three weeks When using the mi max 3 for long time then look at Samsung note 3 screen the vividness and depth of the color of the note 3 really cannot compare
