QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ Jun 1 2015, 01:27 AM) Sorry if this has been asked before. My wifes note 3, after lolli.. you can try this 1) screen flicker once unlock. Sometimes it will get brighter slowly from lock like auto adjust. Other times it will just flicker for abit. 2) apps tend to crash. Facebook for example. Just crash 3) phone feels sluggish.. I am avoiding a fav reset because its my wifes phone and i dont manage her apps like i do mine.. any other methods before i opt for that? Thanks https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ta.backup&hl=en to backup all the apps. factory reset then just restore all the normal apps and their data, minus the system apps. or clear data & cache of apps that slow/crash like facebook, check if the power saving mode is on lol |

Guys any apps that can work as a battery saver like juice defender where it disables mobile data when your screen in locked/ off and enables it back when screen unlock/on? I read that lolipop disables this function and it now needs root function.
I have root but not interested in using tasker Edit: nvm I found out an old app Green Power does it perfectly This post has been edited by destEX: Jun 1 2015, 09:45 AM |

QUOTE(samurai7 @ Jun 1 2015, 11:47 AM) All apps are removed and only the default system apps? Try check out if you enabled power saving? Else could be a hardware problem. Try play around with the screen brightness. Don't use auto brightness for example. |

QUOTE(samurai7 @ Jun 1 2015, 02:41 PM) ya bro..all stock app only...and it happen when the setting os auto...if manual set so far no flickering issue... I think something wrong with the light sensor at the top beside the speaker. Is the screen protector covering it? Try clean that area a bit with a cloth |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 1 2015, 10:12 PM) The ori cable is of course the best. It's just not that long so I needed to find longer cables with as good amperage for charging. my n3 cable died, twisted too much near the base before the male plug to connect to the phone. another friend experienced the same, if you're always plugged in then very highly. but its cheap, a ori longer 1.5m goes for only rm28~30 and charges just as sameAlso, the ori Sammy cables tend to die quite quick. I've used Sammies from the S2 days and yeah their cables don't really last that long under abuse. But I tend to stress my cables (fold fold fold) and they don't really take it well. |

Quite disappointed with my note 3 battery also and I can't find out which app is draining it so fast. 30 mins of chrome net surfing and I'm down to 75%, i could do way more with my mi3

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 2 2015, 10:13 PM) And I thought my battery life was bad. Are you on mobile data? 30 mins on mobile data usually sucks around 15% out of my batt easy - and I'm not even using Chrome (a fan of the much lighter Lightning). ikr I using both note 3 and mi3 and the difference in batt usage is so bloody obvious, i could use my mi3 whole day surfing use mobile data and chrome, 4 hour sot from 7.30am to 4.30pm and the battery dropped to mere 40% whereas my note 3 is a whole different matter. Maybe it's the apps draining batt but yeah I'm thinking of getting a new ori battery soon, already 2 years plus reaching 3. That said I'm running a Pebble off the N3 as well so that's that. As for the guys looking for a good battery, get yourself ori Sammy or at least Anker or Momax 3rd party batts. Those are the only ones I know that don't really suck too hard. Or get the Zerolemon and enjoy not having to charge your phone (ehem... brick) for 2-3 days straight. QUOTE(thelightside @ Jun 2 2015, 10:26 PM) Yes I heard, but chrome can sync my tabs and opened tabs in my laptop at work and pc at home and I have access to all 3 history, even on my other phone's tabs, way too convenient not to mention bookmarks |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 5 2015, 04:05 PM) Non root not sure, even root need xposed to do it IINM, or decompiles and smali edits if that's more your thing. There was this one program that could do remapping of the HW buttons without xposed (forgot the name) but it also killed the button lights doing so. It was long press to back in kk custom roms and xposed, I'm also struggling to get used to long press menu to killThat said, I actually use my menu button quite often, though support is waning on Loli. Long press to search is a damn lifesaver back in KK, though now it's long press to kill as long press back has been hijacked by multiwindow. I wonder if I can switch it around the other way, as it makes a LOT more sense to long back to kill and long menu to mwindow. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 5 2015, 04:24 PM) You won't want to do that. There's a bug on our ROM. When you have a lot of apps opened. It will take a while to open recent apps. Yes I noticed this the moment I update to lolipop and not only recent apps, in fact everywhere related to android system uses it. The reason is simple, they want to fully load the app first so when you use, it's smooth. The same thing is used by Apple to simulate smoothness actually, don't know to be happy or not |
