Finally , its match day of the Zion net Dota tourney. This time , its exciting as 2 Sg top clans came all the way to Klang just to compete with Malaysian gamers for the grand prize of 5k. Few teams in this tournament that is worth lookout for:
SK : Since their incredible win at the SMM Dota tournament Finals and representing Malaysia in various Dota tournaments internationally , SK has proved itself to be a strong force in the Malaysian Dota scene. Their unlucky exit in the WCG and DNA tourney however is major setback to their quest for its outright dominance in the Malaysian scene. We shall see whether they can reestablish themselves as the best in Malaysia in this tourney.
Zenith : The once all dominant Zenith graced this event with their presence. Considered to be the best clan in Singapore (some say Asia) Zenith combines incredible skills and great tactical acument. With version 6 gameplay still at its infancy in Malaysia , their much lauded skills will be a good experience for Malaysian teams
MI2 : The recently crowned ACG champions seeks more glory at Klang today. With their leader Mutton calling the shots , they look very strong to win this tournament. The recently concluded MI2 vs Complexity showmatch shows how adaptive they are to rule changes. A Mutton-less MI2 managed to push Complexity to its limits and eventually adapting some of the strats that MI2 used against them in their CAL matches. This shows the depth of their strength and skills. They will surely be a tough nut to crack .
Elites : Formerly known as Enet which dominated the Malaysian Dota scene for so long until the the shift of power at the dawn of version 6. The reason of the change of name is unknown to me but I would reckon they kept the core players in them to mount a serious challenge to reclaim their spot as number 1 in Malaysia. The recent DNA tourney champions also has the priviledge of gaining extra experience in CPL Singapore facing Asia's top clans. And we all know what this extra experience brought SK to today.........................
Wizz : This relative new clan surprised the whole scene with their constant winning rate and ability to reach later stages of any tourney they participate in. Their steamrolling of other clans in the SMM and WCG tourneys notably showed that they are an organised team gunning for real glory at the scene. They silenced all their doubters with a 1-2 finish in the WCG tourney and once again announced their intention to be a major player in the scene.
Well thats all for now , hope everyone can shift their discussion to here as the former post seems crowded and I personally would like to see that as preview before the all important match day.
Hope i do not bore you guys with the long post =)

QUOTE(KiLLing-z2 @ Oct 14 2006, 09:38 PM) winternight become more geng aredi .. since got natuku gosu wit them @@.. so what's u guyz prediction wit 2ml match? .. Nataku super gosu @@. For upper bracket is more predictable, semi finalist for upper bracket should be WinterNight and Zenith. Never underestimate our local WCG champion Wizz 1 where I really think they stand a serious chance to upset the ACG champion. It should be a great match. While Cybertime also has a fair share of chances to have a win over Wizz2. Whatever the result is, it sure is a exciting semi-final to anticipate

Team Zenith vs DNA-SK2
Zenith - Viper, Sandking ,Lich ,Veno ,Enchantress DNA-SK2 - Chen ,Qop ,Vs ,Sven ,Bane
The draw seems like a death penalty to SK2. Unfortunately , the game must go on as scheduled. Qop soloed against Lich and Veno at top lane. Bane soloed Viper at mid . Sven, Vs and Chen at btm against Enchantress and Sand King.
For me , the game is over within 10 mins the game commenced. Lich and Veno played a massive lane control strat with their timing of their creep kills are point precise. Its like watching musical instruments seeing them both outlevel the Akasha early on. Akasha cant do a thing but watch the 2 heroes freefarm and deny her huge amounts of experience. Mid lane was pretty equal until the Bane left its lane and provide the Viper with free farm opportunities for large amounts of time. Bottom lane was a whitewash. The incredible control of the Enchantress totally outsmarted the bottom lane heroes. resulting in them leaving the lanes too early to gank. This provides the perfect opportunity for Sand King to keep farming and got its dagger cash by the 10th min.
From then on , Zenith just need to play safe and the game is virtually at hand. Its also worth noting that Zenith won almost every skirmishes around the map always the Lich coming at the crucial moment to wrap everything up. With Sk2 all over the map and disoriented , its no surprise Viper gettings its aegis rapier and the throne of SK2 is down by the 50th min.

Team Mi2 vs AutoSurf
Mi2 - Viper Zeus Chen Vs Pugna Autosurf - Visage Qop Techies Bane Sandking
This match pits the relatively new team Autosurf with the ACG champions MI2 . Zeus and Pugna cant do much stopping Akasha farming. Visage virtually lost the solo battle in mid against Viper. The Bane , Sandking and Techie lane presents the aggresive way of playing by Autosurf taking out a lot of heroes with its suicide skill.
MI2 showed its brilliance throughout the game in setting up numerous ganks . But the coordination of Autosurf held firm. Lots of nice moves by MI2 always got disrupted at the 11th hour mostly resulted in MI2 deaths. But techie proves in the end to be not a good hero in overall game play.
Sensing that Visage is getting the items it needed , MI2 did a decisive push at the 37th min. Their predictions are right as Visage can barely reached the shop to get its Reaver when MI2 has already camped outside the scourge base placing strategic wards everywhere. The battle at the gates of the scourge base the 39 min resulted in 5 Auto deaths and 0 casualties from MI2. and MI2 finished the 2 mid raxes ensuring their victory.
Overall MI2 played a solid game and win it with crucial Macro decisions in-game. Autosurf threatened to win it at times but MI2 pounced on their mistakes and hit them hard when they least expected them to do so.
