QUOTE(spx @ Apr 11 2007, 12:22 AM) Interesting Tamiya mini 4wd forum! Hi Spx,There are a few basic questions that I need some gurus' advice: 1) When my car fly from a slop, why does the back of my car goes side way causing the rollers at the rear skid hit on the track's divider? The width of my front rollers and back has the difference of just 4mm with the front being wider slightly. 2) How to solve the problem of the car bouncing during landing? I have problem with my car landing (if successfully without the #1 problem above) and would bounce itself out of the track again (landing just at the middle of a straight track after over a slope and heading for a u turn immediately) as it would still be bouncing while entering the start of the 180 cornering Appreciate if anyone here could help me out with my problem. Added on April 11, 2007, 12:30 amBtw, just out of curiosity, what's the 620 and 830 bearings for? Does it serve as ball bearings and if it is, where would it go to (gear/wheel shaft)? Or it is being used as rollers? 1) I would suggest you to use standard setting. Front and rear rollers have the same diameter. This makes your car easier to run straight since rollers are lined parallel when they contact a wall. Also minimizes power loss. 2) To slove car bouncing during landing, try use small/medium diameter wheel with thin rubber/ reston tires. The rear setting you can use a stabilizing pole with 17/ 19mm aluminium rollers @ 3 or 4 pairs. example, you can refer to http://youtube.com/watch?v=HMmWj7vFl1M ( These setups are great for landing and mainly for technical tracs.) AO part - 620 and 830 ball bearings, AO part = 'A'fter service from 'O'riginal item. 620 bearing = 6mm outer diameter, 2mm inner diameter bearing, 2.5mm thickness. (In Japan, these bearings are used gear and wheel shaft, but in Singapore/ Malaysia we also use it as rollers.) 830 bearing = 8mm outer diameter, 3mm inner diameter bearing. It is the Tamiya official recognition bearing roller. These bearing rollers can spin really smooth. Added on April 11, 2007, 11:01 amGezz, Allen aint working today? After I added replied, then saw ur replied to Spx. hehe This post has been edited by mini4wd: Apr 11 2007, 11:01 AM |

UE3 had nice track layout for Audley speed car, but still prefer track for Tamiya or compatible speed cars.
