Evening happy.gif

Acer laptop (Windows XP SP3)

Maybe you guys are familiar with this type of Trojan.

When I browse the '2008 Songs' folder, suddenly there's an '2008 Songs' folder but it's an application.

Can't delete it.

It infected my thumb drive.

My Windows 7 desktop PC with McAfee are able to clean/delete it from my thumb drive.

I scanned my laptop with McAfee, no more Trojan.

But each time I insert my thumb drive on laptop and then insert it on my desktop pc, the Trojan still infected my thumb drive.

It name itself 'New Folder' rclxub.gif

Regards.

try this one www.webroot.com, after download the trial version of Internet Security Plus, scan first time, then reboot the system, scan second time (but this time unplug the PC network cable or WIFI)

Hope it will help.

Not familiar with Macafee, but you could try doing a boot-time/startup scan, or scan in safe mode. Most antivirus programs should have those scanning options. Some nasties cannot be removed when Windows is running in normal mode.

Reboot your machine, start in SafeMode.

Plug in your USB drive that has the scanner, run the scan.

In Safemode, malware's are at times asleep, makes it easier to be removed.

The new avast antivirus have a comprehensive detection and elimination engine which works very well. try that. rootkits are detectable too.
