hello... need help from u all.... I have a Proton Wira 1.5 MT 1997, got from my father.... Since my father was not a car-modded person, the car was in original condition. I mean the car has original standard engine, standard interior, standard entertainment (sony cassette player, standard speaker, dont have monitor) tongue.gif For me, my car still working in good condition, but not in maximum capacity(best condition ler) biggrin.gif

My problems now, when i press the accelerator, the heat also increase. Near the red 'H' sign. I had service my car half year before, service my engine overall, and the result, the heat never increase insanely. But after half year (now), the problem happen again.

Second problem.....is about air-cond.... when traffic jam, or car stopped when red light, i 'll never feel the air cond. It just blew hot-air. so, i just open the window. I dont think it cause from lack of gases, becoz i just refill the gass 5 month before.

So, anyone can give suggestion??? plz......If malaysia MTV have Pimp My Ride, I'll beg them to pimp my car.... really sad cry.gif

The overheating could b from clog radiator, maybe broken radiator fan or motor..... or even from insufficent radiator coolant make sure its a 50/50 ratio if i'm not mistaken ler eg 50% coolant + 50% water....

Last time my old car blew hot gases from the acc vents it was because of a gas coolant leakage from the small aircond radiator grill... Change it n it went ok ler...

If there is no water leakage, my predict would be either the radiator clogging or the water pump is faulty. Therefore, the water is not moving and it is turned to steam when it's overheat.

OK. Once the temperature needle reaches red H indicator, many things will start to fail.
There might be 2 things here.
1.Its a very typical radiator clogged problem when you accelerate and the temp increases especially when you drive long distance at high constant speed.Due to this clogging, water might overflow to the reservoir or evaporated nearing the boiling point and the radiator will loose some coolant or water, maybe half dryout, causing overheat engine. To fixed this, remove your radiator and sent it for overhaul. They will strip apart and clean every rust and debris.

2.Since your engine has been overheated before, possible there might be small tiny warpage of your silinder head or a wornout engine block gasket that might cause leakage of pressure from the combustion chamber to the cooling system. Here you need a Top-overhaul.

On the second problem, when your car is not moving with the air-conditiong running, the condenser fan might be faulty or running weak, not strong enough to cool down the gas in the condenser. This will caused your A/C not cool. Replace a new motor should fixed this easily.

Some reason for your radiator is mentions about, all i do suggest is send your car radiator to check/servics at radiator specialist shop.

About your air cond, they can be few reasons, your condenser might need servics, cooling coil, or gas leaking. Or maybe your air con fan is bye bye, as my aircon mecha told me proton use "denso" fan from china and recon 1.
