Hi all,

Planning to buy a new sofa..
U all know la.. All salesman say dao their sofa is the best..

He say cow skin is the most quality one (the salesman even grab my car key and scratch the sofa.. No scratch at all 😮)
He says that CASA leather is a lower grade.. The leather will come out in bout 9 months..
When i tried the CASA leather sofa, it feels very good.. Soft and like.. the sofa is hugging u 😄..

So my question is, is casa leather really not that durable? The leather will come out after a year or two?
Cow skin leather is durable but price is quite high.. Bout RM7.5k

The casa leather sofa is around RM5k...

And does anyone here heard bout this brand b4?

Which one more famous in terms brand?😄

cannot have sex on leather sofa unless the aircond is fullblown, once you sweat your skin will stuck with the leather surface and disable your ability to thrusting or moving or anything really.

Casa leather is good, typically you pay RM1600-1800 for a 2+3 set

Better to save up and get Cow leather, better in the long run

Casa leather 1+1+3 = rm5000 nett, brand: venzo
The cow learher 1+1+3 = rm7400, brand : livino (or smtg like that😅)

Difference of rm2400, is quite a lot..

my aunty bought this for her house.....half leather, cow hide (the back and the side is PU)
the brand is ELK....quality is quite good....price is 3800 for 1 + 3. Am not sure if the price is the same for now.
This was purchased last year mid Q4....

yes....they are comfortable....and i like the fact that its quite firm and doesn't sink in easily...

the back support is just great
for the older folks....getting up is fairly easy as the sofa holds you nicely....

leather quality is quite good.....
i actually ordered the same sofa......but different colour
haven't took delivery yet as house still in reno progress

do note this set doesn't come with recliners

bought from fellow forummer loumou who runs Hoi Kong Furniture

they are located at kuchai lama. you search Hoi Kong Furniture in FB and browse through their sofa

they dont have a showroom per se......thye have some ELK on display but not all of it....
mostly L shape sofas on display....
even then the L shape sofa is quite nice to sit on....

i also ordered 1 recliner armchair from them.....the same model as their demo set.....

the price probably increased by now...best to check with them

leather tahan longer, real leather la. can clean easily.

go for full leather if u must.

please bear in mind that leather is pretty high maintenance. you will need to apply conditioner on it quite often.

i have a full leather sofa which I bought from Lorenzo. leather tends to wrinkle and to make the wrinkle less visible, i apply conditioner to it every 2 weeks once.

Not necessary if its from a good leather, just normal plain water to clean will do. And lotion maybe once a year. Car leather for example can last 5 years + without much take care off. My house Sofa only lotion hmmm maybe twice only since 2011

Ah ok! Yes i've heard of him and planning to drop by his shop, but then they do not have full range to test and sit on. After looking at elk's, maybe worth a trip to go to their showroom in Klang to get a feel. I'm limited to 3s, 2s + 1s like what your aunt and yourself has chosen, but of course best is i get to feel and sit on it too.

all my sofas are leather and so far no issue

only this time i'm getting half leather as i thought the leather is important that the area we sit on.....

so please take note the price we bought at, was for 3 + 1.

eventually casa leather not the lowest grade in market, there are more leather type lower than casa exp belle, pu,pvc and more

casa leather is synthetic leather, and its fair enough you pay what you get. Surprisingly more durable than you thought (it also depends on manufacturer too) It depends on how u maintain too, some can last 5 yrs+ some 7+. some 9+

no matter what sofa you buying (genuine / synthetic), you needs to maintain and take good care of it (no kids jumping, long hours sleeping on it, dont sit on it with pants with button)

we sold quite numbers of casa leather no issue with leather come out after few months usage

but its fair enough if you willing to spend more, genuine leather(half/ full) definitely more durable and comfortable

casa leather should be lower than 5k(L-shape/ 123), range should be 2k+ to 4k+, meanwhile you could get some good deal for genuine leather sometimes range around 3k+ - 5k +

i see some cars that are less than 5 years, the leather starts to have cracks as it is exposed under the sun and dries it up.

Nope, look good. Normally it will only start cracking after 5th year, but I see some well taken care and last more than 10 years

I see. Mine can be 3+2+1, just that my space for the 3 seater is quite short at 2.1m only. So that design that you got looks ideal, and i'm not a fan of the recliner style also. How much did you pay for 3 + 1? And half leather also rite?

Go for good leather.

I got a lazboy recliner retailign about ~6k... salesmen recomend a higher range with nice soft supple leather... no regrets man... after a few years still as good feeling as when I first bought it. Just wipe it down and apply some leather care once a year...

Every 2 weeks is kinda ridiculous... i maintain mine once a year.. and it looks great

you can judge by looking at the floor tiles.....its basically 2x2 tiles....

Got it! Anyway, i've decided not to rush to buy pre-gst for Sofa. Realized that have to test and try and feel more comfortable before making the purchase. Was also advised by another helpful forummer to check out Omega sofa - they're based in penang but have on display during exhibition fair. I may just make a weekend trip to penang to eat and at the same time check out his company and omega's.

Think finally will get this Moroso half cow leather 123 sofa for RM5600 after much negotiation... Very comfort...they say this moroso brand is design from Italy..😅

Still see many people do not know how to see good leather/real leather...don't trust salesman too much..casa leather is like bonded leather..by the way, real leather does not stick to your skin if you sweat..those are all embossed leather..

Went to Viva Home today. The guys at Ground Floor sell at a full leather at RM3999. Too good to be true?
