this is not wifi receiver, it creates/gives wifi from pc which doesnt have wifi router maybe connected to 3g broadband or LAN cable only.

many university/college limited 1 WIFI ID to 1 single user/person. so alternatively can use this adapter to create your own wifi so u can share with multiple devices.

if u are working in a company which doesnt provide wifi but u do have pc connected to LAN, still u can use this adapter to create wifi so u can share with your smart phone, tablet or laptop. Saves your mobile data plan quota, plus it is faster. but still website restriction is depending on your company's server restriction protocols. say if it block youtube so u cant access youtube too. unless u use VPN to bypass it.

yes correct bro..this adapter so easy to use, compared to other devices with same function but lot of settings to do. just install the software and plug in the adapter.
