Pay PTPTN online on weekend with MBB Amex can get cash back?

YES.
No TP.

I only use my AmEx for M2U payments, PTPTN and Grab/Uber which already maximized my cash back. I seldom have chance to swipe in retails.

FavePay isn't going to accept AMEX anymore effective March 3rd, 2020 

guess boost is at the back.... since the eTunai... favepay been pushing boost quite a lot....

No longer true, in fact Amex's merchant fee is now less than Visa's and Mastercard's. But the merchant fee will be further reduced before 1/1/2021 (the due date for Payment Card Reform Framework initialed by Bank Negara, so the reward/rebate scheme from CC will be revised again soon).

Amex Malaysia already ceased operation in Malaysia and granted the exclusive rights to Maybank in early 2000s. Any bank want to offer Amex services (issuance of card, merchant service) must co-operate with Maybank. So other acquiring banks are not keen in Amex unless the merchants insist. If a merchants want to switch away from Maybank (as acquiring bank), most likely they will give up accepting Amex as the percentage of Amex transactions is too small.

Some merchants are now switching to the acquiring banks (especially HLB, PBB, Ambank etc) which support UnionPay and ewallets. Unionpay's customer base is very much bigger than Amex.

My friend runs a restaurant chain. Was told that Amex is 3%. Visa and MC can negotiate to below 1% if high turnover. Otherwise, Visa and MC around 1.5%.

Hi. Anyone know or tried using AMEX to pay via Favepay? Do we still get rewards/cashback?

I have read around that many is saying Fave is not an Ewallet. And no reload feature. Should be able to get rewards. Anyone tried? Please share😊

Mbb doesn’t give you cashback or tp when you top up shopeepay with Amex.

If you want to buy things in shopee, use Amex directly to pay to get the reward.

But of course free shipping vouchers are with shopeepay

Actually got conned into buying shoes here. Asked multiple times during multiple visits while surveying shoes for their Buy 1 Free 1 deal whether they accepted AMEX and the staff said yes. Even did due diligence myself by going to their checkout counter to see whether they had the AMEX logo (they did). All the signage says they accept AMEX but when paying on a weekend I realized that they had a different terminal (UOB) which was their only one and that the signs were actually Maybank's. Even had an additional Maybank QRpay sign. Failed 5 times and the clueless idiot even had the audacity to say that there was a Maybank branch nearby (to withdraw cash). Didn't really want to go without cashback but I swapped to Visa since I had already wasted an hour trying on shoes and picking the ones I liked and it was instantly approved.
