it has always been like that. due to their higher merchant charges.

I'm aware not every caltex accept amex
so its been a couple of years since i used caltex and amex in tandem.
last weekend was gonna switch back to these since affin bhp changed tnc and i no longer drive a lot (wfh and less outings).
but my neighborhood caltex who used to accept amex have been having trouble with amex lately.
the attendant said more often than not amex wont go through and rightful enough it failed when i tried.

guess I'll have to pump other petrol brand but still with amex.

and my mind auto go to tngo ewallet when the few time i go guardian/watsons that no longer accept amex.
have you or anyone tried paying guardian/watsons with shopeepay?
I've always used tngo ewallet instead.

edit: saw from shopee app at least watsons and guardian do accept shopeepay.
gonna try that next time, though i seldom go these places now.
