Amex almost guaranteed in my experience. And Mesra points give you better return compared to bonuslink. Bonuslink return is worse than petronas and petron.

I have not heard of AMEX not accepted at shell. used to go for shell last time, even outside klang valley

Caltex however seems like not AMEX friendly based on general feedback on this forum but i rarely go to caltex...

Samsung pay is an alternative that requires me not to carry the cards. Not sure about big amount though.

Anyway, ewallet also negates the need to bring physical card out

But for future reference, i would recommend not doing it at those hours. While forummers reported can complaint to MBB, I still avoid saturday 12am. I will usually do it saturday 8am kind of timing instead. Just less stress that way. Especially overseas website.

Wrong thread? You can just pay on digi app or online if you want to pay with amex. I dont see the necessity to go through 3rd party. You can pay from m2u app also if you are referring to m2c platinum amex.

I am not sure about celcom but i supppose cant be that different.

Pay online or counter?

edit: to those who use hotlink postpaid, you can use M2U and choose payee as Maxis. it's still the same cause you are just paying to Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd.

sadly, the hotlink postpaid app does block you from using amex.

Funnily, if you did save your payment method from when you were using maxis postpaid, then when you switch to hotlink postpaid, your amex card detail continues to be saved. but you cant add new amex card or change your detail if your card expired.
