HI guys,
FYI, I just want to buy the fattest string for Ukulele as I bought it for my daughter as toy. The fattest string broke. Thus I need a cheap replacement.
Anyone selling?

Fattest string = C string? I doubt you can just buy one unless it's low G. If you are gonna treat the ukulele as a toy then I suppose you can just buy nylon fishing line and replace that particular string... But if you want it to sound like a ukulele, buy a set and replace all the strings. I got my strings from Ukulele 101.

There are several string types for the ukulele and some of these strings are originally fishing nylon. There will be sound but nice or not, I dunno la. I just buy in sets meant for ukuleles. Cheapest will obviously depends on what brand and where. Like I said, if you're gonna treat it like a toy, it doesn't really matter. If you want it to sound like a ukulele, then I suppose Aquila Nylguts are the cheapest ones around that consistently sounds good, especially for cheap ukes.
Check out The Ukulele Thread for more info. There's a buying guide with local ukulele shops on there. QUOTE(chanhin @ Mar 25 2015, 02:56 PM) |
