for those pre-cut decals, you can just buy from local online sellers, either in Facebook or Trade Zone here
as those pre-cut are mass produced by companies in China
only those non-precut and custom designed decals are printed by Samueldecals themselves

I would like to think, you need sufficient demand to actually get a reissue. How bandai get's their customer demand data? I have no idea biggrin.gif
*
Bandai only collect data from Japan and HK

so the original ver.KA use dry decals and stickers?
i'm still seeking for the gundam decal #44 ver.ka waterslide decals sad.gif
*
there was a short period of time last year when Bandai reproduced the waterslides, sold out pretty fast
you can always try China version or Samueldecals version icon_idea.gif

guys, anybody know about RG exia? how's the articulation? any major flaws? maybe i'm gonna get that for my first gunpla after a year and a half.
*
you can never go wrong with RG's articulation, always superb thumbup.gif
though RGs are known to have fragile parts, just be careful

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Apr 21 2015, 09:56 PM)
i gotten some 3rd party decals, probably not by samuel, the quality is bad since some alignment is off and the sizes are uneven among the same decal design

is water decals really superior against the stickers type?  i notice that the stickers is thicker and usually come in square instead of following the shapes, will coating hide it or it will appear to be rather obvious that they're stickers?
*
were yours precut?
I never had alignment or size problem, only spelling problem since it's China LOL
eg. 'caution' spelled as 'cotion'

yes, stickers are the most obvious decal, even after coating
to reduce the obviousness you need to polish the coating, but still can see the lines separating sticker and body

the most 'blend in' decal is dry transfer, looks almost like painted on
only downside is the difficulty

yes precut, gotten it from a site call gundam.my
one of the most noticeable alignment issue is the chest decal where u have letters and a red lining, the red line actually cover up the text and the length of left to right are uneven
*
printing error I guess
I buy a lot of China 3rd party decals, once in a while do have a few decals that are off

decals printed by Samuel are not pre-cut, those pre-cut are China 3rd party brands

RG Astray was inevitable, since it shares many similarities to Strike
even the PG shares some inner frame parts with each other

the truth is, how many people actually display their MG or PG in Unicorn mode? tongue.gif
however, if Bandai is to make a RG of Unicorn in 2 separate modes, it will go against their concept of 'Real' Grade hmm.gif

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ May 15 2015, 10:00 AM)
water slide can be pretty nice if mr softer is incorporated properly since it will melt some of the decals transparents plastic and make the decals looks like a dry transfer, but the risk is that apply too much will eat up the decals too? hmm.gif
*
softer's real function is to fuse decal with paint, it, kinda 'melts' the decal, but if you don't touch it after applying it, it won't be a problem

QUOTE(heally82 @ May 15 2015, 11:39 AM)
actually the best is normal decals as they dont have stickers edge like water decals do, only downside to normal decals is the application.

when you scratch that much on your gunpla fearing to scratch them its like hell on earth...

as for water decals you dont have that problem plus you can use tamiya mark softer to make the sticker like edges less obvious.

still if apply on certain gunpla color you will still notice you water decal edges on certain angle.

another advantages on water decals is that i heard you can buy transparent water decals and print your own design, detail wise is depends on your printer resolution...
*
waterslides works best on painted surface, when applied with softer solution, the decal fuses with the paint layer, it will appear as if it's in the paint, no edges at all

softer solution does not make the decal any less obvious on bare plastic surface, but a layer of clear coat would reduce it

sorry for the noob question, actually what it means by eat/melt the decals, does it means that it eat up the diagram itself or just the tranparent sheets? sweat.gif
i bought a softer but only try a few times when the area is too difficult for the decal to bend, and i realise mark setter has some softer effect too so most of the time i just apply another layer of setter on top of decals after i properly position it.
*
the words/emblem on the waterslides are just the printing, the softer solution reacts with the decal plastic itself, and also paints
for that bending issue, you need SETTER solution actually

the steps of applying waterslides are:
1) apply setter solution on gunpla surface where you want to put the decal

2) apply the decal, absorb excess setter solution with cotton bud

3) wait for the setter solution to completely dry up then apply softer solution on top of the decal
