1st time weathering. 95% unpainted. 95% weathered with Gundam Fine Oil Marker Brown/Grey/Black. Mr.DIY Clear coat. Total paint cost under rm10.

For messy work i think no need to repaint the base plastic.

Took more than 20hours for this little bud.

















But i find hand painted acrylic paints doesn't stick well even after top coated. The pilot's hands keep getting paint scratched off by the hatch. I mix Mr.Hobby Acrylic with Mr.Hobby leveling thinner though.

so its like a new upgraded MG Line? like how RG was the new upgraded HG line?

If anything, its a downgraded MG line.. no inner frame and less parts, so more obscure MS have a chance to see a kit released due to less RnD required to engineer these kits

updated ver old NG 1/100 bro
also mobile suit variation (MSV) got priority in this line rather than 'mainstream' mobile suit
so we have less likely to see this in MG

Bro, if I am not mistaken, the Mr Hobby leveling thinner is for lacquer based paint. They have a thinner for water based paint. aqueos thinner or something.

however, the water based thinner wouldn't have a retarder added to the mix. Not sure if you can add mr hobby paint retarder into it or not so that the paint will take longer time to dry/set so that you will lessen the chance to see brush strokes.

i also was expecting around there, but GA was selling RM368 (if im not mistaken) MG MSZ-006-3B Zeta Gundam Unit 3B-Type (Gray Zeta), then after GST, went up to RM394...

yeah, that z3 red zeta, got that "evil" look to it...
besides is red, at least it different color, my display cabinet mostly blue (as this is the main gundam "color")...
