Hi guys, is there anyone joining the malaysian gunpla art festival punya malaysian book of records thing? I'm asking cause they say bring kits in display cases but mine usually I keep inside glass cabinet. Anyone know what kinda display case(s) is suitable for this kind of event? I planning to bring 3 MG 3 RG 3 HG and 1 NG
*
gunpla gathering usually dont use display case bro,
if you gunpla is too heavy cant stand on its own, go bring action base stand for display

QUOTE
Kits that will be brought to participate MUST be ready-built with a display base and not still in it's box.

display case is a no no for one who bring it in large quantity, besides that display case is expensive :/

so you can try ask organizer to give permission to display without case
and also bear all the risk by yourself in case something happen to your gunpla during gath

totally agreed, unless you can afford god hand spn-120 or better sen-115, else sanding it off would be advisable...

heard WAVE HT281 is super convenient, wait until all my sand paper stock finishes then will buy 1 and try...
*
owning the "god hand" doesnt mean the nub mark will be gone completely
you need to trim with hobby knife for thicker nub mark, also you cant run away from scratch, thats why sandpaper/sanding stick is needed too

the premium modeler cutter only help you to cut precisely due to sharp and small tip design

Owning a god hand can just straight cut it without leaving runner space and using wave file can remove whatever marks that god hand left off.

Anyway have you use god hand before?
*
yes thats the purpose, sometimes got really small gate runner you can straight cut it, while normal cutter need to cut the whole gate then slowly cut the leftover nub
what I want to say those cutter alone wont remove all the nub mark, you still need additional tool

i find it to be an overglorified cutter.. personally i haven't used it, but even the best cutter will not conform to your kit's shape 100% and you still need to trim.. why spend too much on a cutter? tongue.gif

but maybe once i have used it i may sing a different tune, but as it is now, i don't see much of a point sweat.gif
*
God Hand is just a marketing gimmick mah,
got other side cutter in market which is similar design with that, G-Temple, Tamiya, Hasegawa etc...
fyi even cheap Taiwan brand 9Sea have same design with God Hand, cost only Rm20

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ May 30 2015, 01:43 PM)
just got back from mid year.. my advice.. stay home and sleep laugh.gif

there were some PG unicorns, didn't see price
rare items were Clear Build Strike HG @ RM80 and HG Titanium Banshee Norn @ 168

the rest are pretty standard stuff.. RG 00R for RM105.. etc..
*
any recently release kits sell there too? like HGBF Denial or HG Guntank Origin?

I dunno why
gwing hobby shop somehow have Bandai XN Raiser without the magazine at cheap price
they do also have GN Sword IV, rumors said it is a re-release ver

that was in 2011 if I remember correctly, I'm still have those add-on in my collection

the so called business 101 doesnt apply on china and hong kong market? i go direct purchase from china, hong kong and even japan by flight courier still cheaper than the so called warehouse sale (yes, i did go through last year litt tak warehouse sale)

this so called business 101 is making the gunpla culture in asean shrinking pace like global warming at Antarctic...
*
there is Bandai sub division in Hong Kong, so they may take stocks from there... so thats why Hong Kong people can buy P-Bandai stuff as well(http://p-bandai.hk/)
while Malaysia Distributor Litt Tak take stocks direct from Bandai Japan, which is expensive
not only Malaysia and SEA, this apply to western countries such as America and Europe

easy to say, its not cheap to import gunpla here due to many things mainly the costs for delivery and tax
if Bandai make sub division in Malaysia, things may be cheap

well if thats the case its goin to be buying from jpn, china or local shop that also direct jpn purchase for now until the officials figure something that can pull me back from it official price...

makes me wonder if local model shops can go direct purchase from jpn n sell cheaper than msia official seller whats the point of having official seller in the 1st place? food for thought...
*
official distributor Litt Tak own warehouse so maintaining them not gonna be cheap
also people works there no need to pay salaries?

why you bother with this hobby if too costly? you already aware local hobby shop sell at reasonable price. buy at overseas have high risk to get gunpla damaged or lost plus with shipping its no more or less like same price in local shop

I believe heally is talking about overpriced, not expensive. This hobby is expensive, yes. But one shouldn't be overcharged. I believe that's the point.
*
lets ignore the official distributor, everyone in this thread aware the price there is not cheap
but do he even try to buy local as alternative?
in his earlier post, he just aware so many local shop selling at good price then why bother buy oversea which is not much different? unless he aim for rare kit which is hard to find here
