paint it or straight build? if straight build recommend to try nail buffer to shine it, can create mirror like gloss if you try hard enough.

seen people done it and its remarkable.

the only thing i can do is to make the strightbuild looks as good as possible
*
hehe then you better prepare more time slot for this polished sazabi build, its gonna be a looong ride....

no if you straight build also can one some i can see remarkable straight builders achieve better finish than most painted kits.

thats why i salute to those can straight build without showing nub white marks where most air brush guys use to cover it up.

guys, do you know how to clean the compressor moisture trap?

mine looks like this:

user posted image

there is a needle below you can vent out the moist, but mine have sand like particles inside, need to open up the glass to remove them. i only manage to remove the red circle but it's just decorative. want proper way to open them so won't damage it. will the particles affect the air quality?
*
shud open from the bottom, this is just to remove water from your compressed air outlet so when the mist trap build up enough dirt up to the point it effects your pressure output then change a new one lo get a unit from taobao include shipping think can get below rm50

so minor dirt don't affect the air? not sure they are dirt or something else.

the valve is just to push it to vent when compressor is on.

if i remove the valve to clean out the dirt the seal will break right?

BTW is it normal for double action airbrush to have very minor air leak at nozzle when not pressed? i'm trying out the new Sparmax  SX0.3D
*
unsure yours but mine no air come out when not pressed, usually air come out is when my pen is dirty and the pressing nozzle stuck half way.

also my thoughts that as long as you test out the airbrush outlet result is good then no point worry bout the dirt just make sure clear the water.

Want something with high articulation for posing purpose, and of cos melee weapons base

So far looking at PG/MG(ver.RM)/RG Strike, RG Astray, RG Exia, MG RX-78.2 ver.30

Probably something to look forward after Sazabi is done

Noted a few problem, MG and RG Strike does not come with big ass sword, RG Astray has vent prob as u guys suggest but still bearable, RG Exia seems to be an ideal choice due to the 7 swords he posesses.  RX-78.2 ver.3.0 is the least favorite among other due to the design somehow too futuristic compare to the real RX-78 design
Normal 1/100 articulation also beat that PG? shocking.gif
Really not worth it in that case ohmy.gif
*
I would highly recommend mg red frame astray kai as this model has add on options like Caledfwlch and blue frame cannon (this is a garage kit), looked bad ass enough.

As for strike, both mg and pg also the best articulation option but weaponry wise you have to add your own, I can't recommend you here but guess you already knew it from dachong bootleg rm mg strike with sword and cannon package even better details and decals than the original.

Still I would recommend mg 00q with full saber option, think mg full saber (free from magazine) you still can get from japan at a fairly cheap price. Also articulation quite good too.

I have pre-ordered rg red frame too let you know whether its worth the attention.

but i dun wan heavy backpack, if only they give optional basic backpack instead of asking u to buy p-bandai Astray:/
*
All the stuff I mentioned never involve p bandai, never a big fan of p bandai.

Also red frame Kai is all bout the big sword.

If you r lookin at normal melee weaponry then cn go through kotobukiya one and just buy mg rm strike.

My opinion if strike have the best balance between articulation and mecha design as the initial idea was to imitate human body structure.

Just dunno why suddenly the series end up freedom this kind of approach.

i mean if i opt for MG Astray with only Samurai Sword, the Kai does not provide the normal backpack, only P-Bandai Astray give u the same structure as PG and RG

If I'm not mistaken there is also garage kit option to buy the back pack not sure it's the flight pack or basic one.

Heck, might as well buy both mg strike and astray and bash them however you like it to. Since there share the same frame. Can't go wrong if you buy these 2. Or may be a Ng astray also have basic backpack, cn consider that as well.

Still the granddad comic ver of perfect gundam 3.0 looks way more fierceful. Hope bandai add more details to make it more mg level compatible.

thinking of that too, or RG astray, need to compare both after astray released
*
I have assembled rg exia and mg astray, my current opinion would be articulation comparable (arm part would be astray better)

but for the looks astray would give much more wow effect as exia to me is too futuristic for my liking (though still i want to get 1 for my one too, last one was done for my colleague), almost gundam age feel.

pending still, bought the buffer already, tmr night start to work on sazabi, if result is good, gloss coat, if result not good enough, semi gloss laugh.gif

Propose mix of the 2, will give a better overall view all flat and gloss makes it a bit less striking.

anyway my next project diablo gundam, pending on the color separation and spiky mod:
Attached Image

Even the BFT storyline i have put it into some thought about this unit,
if you try google the gunpla names you will know i have put some effort in the names too:

Wilfrid Kijima

Gunpla: LU-C4 (Learning Unit Check 4) Morning Star Gundam

Wilfrid was intended to create a gunpla unit with AI that will be able to go through battle through learning instincts.
The intention was to assist in movement decision making to be faster than human reflexes, improving overall response speed.

This unit has failed when Wilfrid found certain movement was not in his control and Saga was interested in his gunpla and
wanting to control this unit by his own.

Saga Adou

Gunpla: Rename to GN-666 Diablo Gundam

When Saga collect this unit from Kijima, he was thrilled with the units capabilities and slowly consumed by it, up to the
point he slowly addicted in destroying every gunpla that he lay eyes on to. Then he eventually bump into Junya.

Junya Inose

Gunpla: GN-666 Diablo Gundam (Junya didnt bother to change)

Junya challenge Saga when he sees the old self on Saga and win the battle with Denial Gundam by a skill he created after battle
with Kamiki Sekai (Still next denial project in plan, havent decide what skill and name). Saga then regain his own conscience and pass
his gunpla to Junya which he felt that he will be able to control the unit.

hehe, but you havent knew the background of this gunpla intention, i am always a sucker for satan and diablo design especially the ff8 diablo design.

this gunpla goin to be inspire by that diablo and try to make a stunning glossy black with chrome red diablo gundam.

I have even research and plan to put water decals of the diablo logo

I have less experience in building HG, very sakit kepala whenever i have idea what to do but dunno which part of Gundam i can get or use.

Gonna learn more modding skill after i done all my backlogs.
*
after you cleared all the backlogs, you will have plenty of excess parts that will gets your brain spinning where to mod with these parts with future models.

i got 2 project running the diablo and rick dias kai, spinning quite fast until i pening already...

but i build MG mostly.
economically HG are cheaper to mod haha
I wanna do Knight Theme gundam ler
Internet got few example but i wanna do something different
*
for traditional one i would recommend rounded end gunpla such as sinanju parts or gundam age titus parts. some you need to look out of gundam model field.

my bet is kamen rider had lost of shoulder armor you can look into.

but for the safe bet is to go on a bit mecha design of knight mod gundam, that would be on how you want to tolerate the knight feel of your gunpla.

try look into more 1/100 ng gunpla will have plenty of choices for you too bash them together.

final resort will be look and garage kit, that would be expensive and hell of a color separation job (f**ing hate masking tape)

for the diablo at some point i even consider seraphim gundam for its slim body design but scrap the idea due to less detail on the body.
