Haha, different strokes - for me, APIIT is way too formal. Everyday have to wear office/work attire right? I prefer to at least relax in the 3-4 years before entering the work force... which is why I ended up in a lakeside campus where people dress up like going to the beach  sweat.gif  sweat.gif But makes sense lor, if you work part time then no need to change etc.

(Agree that having shopping mall right beside is very distracting though)

Why Taylor's Lakeside:

- Offered a scholarship to study there
- Reputation
- Lifestyle
- Linking to top industrial partners
- Active Clubs and Societies (you can even make your own club)
- Holistic environment for studying and playing

Why x Taylor's:

- Expensive as hell!
That's all. But sadly the price is the major turnoff for many.

Better than Monash Malaysia and Nottingham Malaysia campus ?

Because there is parking lots ( that i have to go through hell to get a spot in )
Very easy location for me to go to.
It's also quite a good college contrary to popular belief. ( overcrowded though )

I would say $$ is also a reason. But haha.

Yep correct. I hardly need to change at all. Same attire to college and to work. Lol.

And you don't have a big major campus to work around with. Leave the house 10 minutes before class, still reach the class on time because the campus is so small that all classrooms are just a few steps away.

No shopping complex also helps me to save a lot of money buying useless stuff. Or else I wouldn't have the money to buy property right after uni. Hahaha.

^ Manada got it pretty much. But I just want to emphaize that Taylor's has really built themselves up as a prestigious brand - so the students benefit A LOT because tons of companies and industry events are held there, and a lot of time TU students get to go in free.

There is also a very high level of trust in the environment - few thefts and people return expensive items they find (macs, ipads, phones, etc).

It's expensive but Monash is more expensive. Taylor's Business/Coms lecturers are not as good as Monash, but for other faculties pretty on par.

@Manada - haha I joined aiesec and book club.

AIESEC? Just join? It is a very active club in Taylors

Yeah, very very active. But really fun and really enriched my uni life. Learn a lot also.

Anyway I do think that besides $$$ these other add-value things make the difference between a good uni and a great one.

Is there a current lecturer rating system atm? I know each uni does student feedbakc survey but they never publish right?
