these two lenses are attached as kit lenses for sony nex camera. but what is the difference between them? which more expensive or better quality?

16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS vs 16mm F2.8, Price about the same.

I would chose 16-50mm as the range is far more valuable. The OSS is the optical stabilizer which is useful.

F2.8 is not much brighter than F3.5. So not a very strong pro for the 16mm F2.8 and its the only advantage this lens has over the 16-50mm.

hmm... juz now is go ask the zoom lens, sel16-50 is RM1000. lol... how much is the price for sel16 f2.8?

I have both and would choose SELP1650 because of versatility. SEL16f28 still has usefulness if you are into landscape photography. You can attach fisheye and wide angle converter lens,
