QUOTE(CAL V @ Jul 2 2015, 07:44 PM) I don't think you'll regret getting a Filco. Pretty solid and highly recommended. erm, read alot review, red switch not much making noise and soft more, suite for writter and gaming.Well if it's blue switch it's going to get a little noisy anyway. By the way, RM4xx really expensive. |

QUOTE(CAL V @ Jul 2 2015, 09:07 PM) Then look at the recommendation list on the first post. Might have other options that suits your budget. If still feels expensive, find on Taobao for those built with MX clone switches. yup, already search Taobao, but seen this was around RM3xx-4xx, better search at Msia. Lucky got Filco seller at LYN, just thinking which one switches should i choose. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jul 2 2015, 09:08 PM) Red suitable for gaming, heard before. Price really had a big change after GTS. For typing, not recommended at all. I also write review, I recommend tactile switches. Ya, RM4xx really expensive. Before GST, RM 369 only. tactile switches make a noise, i like the red no much sound and soft. my place small town, didnt have show room for test. |

QUOTE(CAL V @ Jul 3 2015, 03:16 AM) Well, some people actually like typing on linear. I do enjoy typing on linear, tactile and clicky. I can't say which one is the best for me but I just like them all because they are different. Imo red is too light. Not sure where you got the info that red are very good for typing brown switches key feeling same as normal keyboard, right? Tactile is not too noisy, unless you bottom out with every keystroke. Linears can be loud too if you tend to bottom out the keys. Clicky(blue) is quite loud by default. Just fyi, many people have "typo issue" with linear switch when they first started out, some get used to it over time and some just end up getting tactile or clicky. Many seems to be really happy to type on browns. Hope this helps. |

QUOTE(CAL V @ Jul 3 2015, 03:41 AM) Erm, normal keyboard? You mean those usual rubber dome keyboards? Ha, never touch mechanical keyboard, dont know how feels its. If you're referring to those, then you should think again why you came to this thread and how much do you understand about mechanical keyboards. *No offense but seriously. If a 4xx ringgit brown switch Filco feels same as the free Acer keyboard that came with the home PC, I'll flip my table, smash that keyboard in pieces and burn it with gasoline. Just kidding Of course they feels different, that tactile bump, surely feels more distinct than usual rubber dome, and the key travel is more satisfying. Not trying to make it sounds like the most perfect thing ever, but it certainly feels different and better. Red Switches and Brown Switches, no idea choose which one. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jul 2 2015, 09:08 PM) Red suitable for gaming, heard before. Reading a review bout Red switches, some user like to resting their finger on top of the keyboard like i always do, this act will accidentally push down red switches key. For typing, not recommended at all. I also write review, I recommend tactile switches. Ya, RM4xx really expensive. Before GST, RM 369 only. so i think i will go for Brown switches (Tactile Switch) as yours recommended. |
