tbh i kinda liked blue for how it feels and the click sounds. but i got a feeling the noise would become annoying after a while. if given the opportunity i'd go for clear switch or topre.
hows blue doing for you?
*
i think clear is tactile but not clicky, same with topre. for me, blue is the best. its tactile and clicky, been using it for a while at work and still loving it. if i am to change/add boards, it would still be blues, lol.

I am not sure if it's the spray can problem, because it shoots out the paints weirdly like rain droplets rather than moist mist. I am not using cheap spray can, it's Krylon Gloss White(About RM 40) and Krylon Matte Coat Finish(About RM 36).
So, some parts of the keyboards are ruined(inconsistent thickness).
To solve this, I just have to make battle-scarred version of it and then spray at Matte Coat Protection on top and DONE.  smile.gif

Originally, I intend to make some masking patterns but I changed my plan last minute.

That usually happens when the paint inside the can is not mixed properly or not shaken enough. Also it would depend on first few sprays that it needs to be very thin then let it dry before spraying again. This happened to me a couple of times already and thought it was the paint.

Do a trial spray first on some plastics before you do the actual painting to get the hang of it.

I assume that since you are painting it, you know the proper preparations before spraying and did those things so i didnt mentioned it.

hi krytone! biggrin.gif
i got my ssk from taobao, forgot how much i paid for it already, but i rmbr it was quite pricey (i think about RM400-500) as ssk is very difficult to find in taobao.
hardcore typing? you should try blue switch  brows.gif
personally i wouldn't get that or recommend that due to the following reasons:-
1) gaming layout, not compatible with standard or winkeyless layout keycaps.
2) using kailh switch.

Thanks! Atleast i know someone who bought an SSK from taobao. I think that price range is still ok depending on the condition of the board. Ill try my luck finding one then. Thanks for the info kind sir notworthy.gif

Mind sharing what is the search key to use for IBM Model M SSK/IBM SSK/IBM Model M in taobao? tongue.gif

It is legit. I already used MD twice and they fulfill their promise even if you get defective caps, they will make sure to fix the issue for you.

But still would prefer taobao for you if youre kind of starting off and feeling abit spending too much on keycaps.

But if youre all up to it, join geekhack and participate in the GMK GBs which is the higher end of keycaps.

Also, IMSTO is currently selling BSP caps now smile.gif
