I tried blue for one day. Thats it. Swapped it with my black at home. Then sell. Time to buy new one. Office cannot use blue or any clicky one. Even black quite noisy for office tbh, especially if you type fast.

Bro, please use spoiler tag for large images. It is annoying to see suddenly whole page one picture tongue.gif

And to answer your question directly, I am actually planning a small GB + assembly for China boards.

Interesting, mind explaining more about the GB? Like PCB, Controller, etc? Also, links.
Thanks.

Will be running 2 options:

1. Satan 60%. This is actually a revised GH60 PCB with full LED support.
2. AKB96. This is a riskier project, as the supplier will only begin manufacture AFTER we have submitted payment with a manufacturing lead time of 20 days.
3. TKL. This one is pretty straightforward, but the case and all will be trickier since 87-key support in China is horrible.

For the 60%:
The taobao links are in the imgur album I posted previously.

For the AKB:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1...90-a042db66af03

For the TKL:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ucket=14#detail

Can request for assembly, but might take some time.

AKB uses arduino mobo. RS uses Atmel soldered on board. Other than that, it seems quite similar.

USD90 vs RMB 300 or so. You decide.

Massively. Just need a temp-controlled solder.

Actually m87 is the last option for me. I prefer to build another 96-key or another 60%, although the 60% might be placed in the backburner considering my recent experience trying to use it with excel.

No worries man, parts alone 60% pretty cheap, and the AKB96 option is actually all inclusive sans switches (switches will come to below RM100 by my estimation if you wanna Gaterons).

Main point for this is just a massive IC for M'sia. Might run, might not run at this point, depending on whether I feel like it or not tongue.gif

Couple of weeks.

Although I am interested to know what was the point of failure for your board. Do you mind sharing?

Come bro, let's make a Custom MKB. thumbup.gif
AFAIK, RM 500(more or less) should able to get everything done if you're taking parts from Taobao.
Gateron 87 Switches(RM 60-80), PCB + Controller(RM 100+), Plate(RM 50-100), Keyboard Housings/Casing(RM 100-200), USB Cable(RM 30+-), Keycaps(RM 100).

it might not apply for the later batches of satan btw.

in my case, used a month and it just decided to fail on me.

When I get my board which supposedly copies faceU, I was unable to get into bootloader mode to flash my board to the latest firmware. So I've used the old avr way to flash it via arduino.

almost a month later, it just doesn't detect. just doesn't detect. avr doesn't even detect the existence of the board. so i thrown the board away into the dustbin and never look into china pcb again.
