I am not sure if it's the spray can problem, because it shoots out the paints weirdly like rain droplets rather than moist mist. I am not using cheap spray can, it's Krylon Gloss White(About RM 40) and Krylon Matte Coat Finish(About RM 36).
So, some parts of the keyboards are ruined(inconsistent thickness).
To solve this, I just have to make battle-scarred version of it and then spray at Matte Coat Protection on top and DONE.  smile.gif

Originally, I intend to make some masking patterns but I changed my plan last minute.

That usually happens when the paint inside the can is not mixed properly or not shaken enough. Also it would depend on first few sprays that it needs to be very thin then let it dry before spraying again. This happened to me a couple of times already and thought it was the paint.

Do a trial spray first on some plastics before you do the actual painting to get the hang of it.

I assume that since you are painting it, you know the proper preparations before spraying and did those things so i didnt mentioned it.

I did know the steps, but, I failed it some how because there's dust n stuffs. I keep on spray spray spray to cover those things.
In addition, I put on a box and the paint somehow dried and glued the keyboard on the box. doh.gif Taking it off causing some paints to torn apart too.
So in the end, it turns out to be too thick and failed. doh.gif
Guess I need a very close dustless environment and also proper stands/hangers.

Gosh... did you sand between coats when it ended up uneven?

Doesn't sound like you did much sanding to prepare it for spraying...

Already sanded a lot. I got tons of photos if you wanted to see.

Anyway, I failed because of some factors I just said... (check post above)
Paint torn apart when pulling up and also dust caused me to keep spray until overly thick causing uneven.

Although, I can't make a perfect straight good white paint surface job(planned to stop the project already).
But, I still manage to make it doesn't look suck. LOL. And, the thing is I quite like it.

Congrats on V27!

Just purchased a Leopold FC660c from Japan at approx RM660. Could've gotten a Realforce but I prefer compact layouts and this is a 66 key layout.
Topre 45g switches on PBT Dye Sublimated Keys (except for space which is ABS I think).
This keyboard will replace my Filco TKL Brown Switch at home and complement my current Poker KBT Red switch (work keyboard). The Filco will go to my fiance, who herself already using another Filco TKL Blue Switch.

Nice! Definitely prefer it over my MX Red which is my next fav keys. The feeling is just different. Not as scratchy as MX keys.

You put a 1x key, taken from any cursor key (R1 height), then put on the spacebar key.
Then you try press it, do it sound like the other cursor key?

Thank you so much for your reply.

I wondering how to put the 1x key to the spacebar? Do you mean I need to pull out? I didn't buy the key puller tool sad.gif

By the way, does the keyboard backspace and spacebar will produce louder and quite solid sound compare to other key?

You ned a wire keycap puller to remove your keycaps.
Will be useful once in a while if you want to change keycaps or cleaning.

Ya, longer sized keycaps sounds louder than 1x size.
